The previous comments were very clear, but the important thing, in my opinion, is to have a guide, as a teacher. Doing things by yourself is not always a good idea, although many famous guitarists have started just like that. So the thing that I recommend to you is to go to a teacher and, as already mentioned, to practice a lot and do not ever get you back, even when it seems that you can't do it! ;)

Hmmmm, the easiest way to learn a guitar... Well, I would suggest that you learn how to play the basic major chords such as chords like C, D, G, A and a few basic minor chords like Aminor, Eminor. With these chords, you are all set to play a number of famous songs like Viva La Vida from Coldplay (C, D, G. Eminor) or Love The Way You Lie from Eminem (Eminor, C, G , D). Of course, you won't make progress if you don't PRACTICE! Spend at least 30 minutes a day to practice changing chords, strumming the guitar and follow a rhythm. Music may be complicated, but it's a very fulfilling and fun activity when you get the hang of it. Good luck! :)

it's a puzzle to me why it seems to be thought that playing the guitar is easy it's not. First you must select a style, then you need to choose a guitar; electric or acoustic, is only the start, then 6 string or 12, then fingers or plectrum. A guitar is a musical instrument it's not easy to learn, get a beginner's book and book some lessons.
