Annoyed by peple hitting turtles.

Since i was little i have alway's watched out for turtle's and my mother would stop and get them safely across the road.I will always remember being around 3 when a man who stopped in traffic in front of my mother, got out of his car and ran out in front of other car's, grabbing a turtle to help it across.It was very kind. Every year a main road near i go down to get to stores is near two swamps there are always turtle's crossing and i pull over to help them cross.However last year i actually parked my car down the road and walked down it in order to help the turtle's, i counted 26 smashed turtle's and found one alive with a smashed shell which i took home and was able to help him.It really brothers me that people go out of the way in the road to hit the turtle's.As i was driving home today i saw a turtle crossing he was on the other side of the road so i pulled over to help but the jerk behind me passed me and my car, swerved and hit the turtle.I could understand if you were going really fast and accidentally hit the turtle but there is no need to speed up and run the turtle over. i found an article around Christmas about a college student that did a turtle project.He put a fake turtle in the road and watched from a distance 267 car's passed, 50 drivers went out of their way to hit the turtle on purpose. it's just really sad that people think it's fun to hit the turtle's.
