He said he is a changed man. Now he wants to be a senator of this land. Is it as easy as that? What about the crimes? Had the victims been given justice? Every one could change, and be forgiven, but only if the punishment for the crimes had been served, only then can justice had been served.
Please read on, this is the father's recount on his son's bad boy days: http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/-depth/10/02/12/jpe-reveals-other-crime-linked-son-jack

NO one can stop him from running into senate. Only the people can prevent him from being elected into it. He can run for the seat all the elections to come, but if the people won't vote for him, then it's useless.

He should be punish and for me not good to give a chance he might commit more crimes since he already showed how big his head already what more when he got his power from running the position, and for the record he haven't done any no good at all for recent place he is

There should be an investigation regarding this matter and it makes me believed that it's a demolition job just to keep people from voting for him. just like the issue of corruption accused to the Gordons when he was still running President back in 2010, but there was no investigation, but i guess its because he didn't win. maybe enrile should speak more to better understand him. hve a nice day

I was a sophomore or a junior of a rival school of where Jack studied, the victim was studying in my school when these incident happened, it was Martial law time and freedom of the press was not as free as it is now so everything was just shhh... and rumors, too much talk might land you in the military stockade ( no internet back then)and no one can really be sure what really transpired, but one thing is sure, I'm not voting for this guy come election day

when i read your topic title, i though you're referring to robin padilla. hahaha.
i have heard on of this alfie anido incident here. well, i wasn't born yet when the incident happened. i agree with you. i wouldn't really feel someone's sincerity in saying he's changed unless he's admitted his fault and accepted the punishment. the accusations against jack enrile are serious. when i asked my mom about it, she doesn't know anything. maybe because it happened during the martial law era.
anyways, i'm not really rooting for him in the senatorial elections.

Our countrymen should be aware of this. Not everyone knows this, I suppose especially those youth who are just new voters.
The question is...what is really going on in the country's selection of candidates??

Whatever you can do, political dynasty in our country is so hard to stop. Whatever the reason is, why he is running. I am sure its because it's already planned. I could say justice in our country is so hard to get especially for the poor ones. You need to have the money in order for the justice to be around you. This is really is frustrating that is why most of our countrymen wants to go abroad. How can this mentally be changed? And who can changed it? It's a big question that no one could answer...

Hello EIleen, i don't want to reach much on this issue, his time has come in the senate and new people should come in and make better debates, amendments and laws. i don't know this jack enrile so i don't think can vote for him, there's still the issue of him killed some one. Ponce enrile should resign or not to run again, let him finish his term. have a nice day.

Hi,
This is a free country and anybody with a lot money can do anything he likes, including killing some obscure individual and run for office. People forget and they shall be fawning and crawling at the feet of the same people who made fools of them. I say again, this is a free country and anyone can do whatever he likes as long as he has the means to do it.

Let's see if he is able to get enough support to actually get the seat. If he has truly changed the rest may be touched enough to support him.
