Yesterday I took a "becak" (tricycle) to go to bus station. It was hard rain. I could feel that the becak driver was very wet and cold. I opened my wallet and found a banknote twenty thousand rupiahs. I would give the money to becak driver. Actually it was too much, but I though that it is normal because the becak driver was cold and wet and really hard to ride in hard rain. After get out from becak I paid the money to him, and I got into the bus very quickly. I sat in a bus desk. Before the bus moved, I surprised because the becak driver got into the bus to give me money ten thousand rupiah. He said , " Ini mbak uangnya, kebanyakan......" (This is your money kid, it's too much....

hai there bintang?apa khabar sih?
hehe..is that correct?im from ur neighboring country, malaysia..
i guess that is what we called pride..
i know ur pure intention of giving him extra money cuz yup, i did that sometimes to old people selling kerepek..i just couldn't bear it seeing all these people roaming around the street showing pitiful face so that people would buy their kerepek..
..it';s okay, i feel glad because there;s still people like you who are considerate and people like the becak driver who is honest and even went in the bus to search for you..

Hai Amelly, I'm fine. Baik baik saja. Nice to see you Amelly. Kemarin karena saya kaget atau heran sehingga saya hanya diam saja. Harusnya saya tetap memberikan uang itu ya.
After few minutes later, I realize and regret for not giving him the money back. I just can pray for his blessing and health.

well at the least your heart was in the right place to try to give him a tip for all of the ride in the cold and the rain i am sure that he never knew it was a tip for him doing this the next time you may be in a spot like this I would say keep the change and walk away with a smile

What a nice "becak" driver, he is a responsible driver indeed, he don't take advantage to his passenger, he is a good person and honest one. There many of them even to this days, i experienced it myself, there are still many honest driver, not only tricycle drivers but also taxi drivers.

What a wonderful thing he did, but you were also right in giving him some extra as well.
