as a single parent, i would like to have a job that doesn't require me to leave home. i want to work and at the same time take care of my kid at home or take and fetch her from school. i have been searching for online jobs but i have only seen ptc sites, post to post, survey sites. i also stumbled upon "data entry jobs" they requirement fees to be able to work on them.
is data entry jobs really legit? and if it is, can you suggest some sites where i could work on?

No most data entry jobs are scams. They get work done but never pay. Also All those companies that insist on prior payment for registeration are clear scam companies. No genuine companies insist on advance payment for providing jobs.

You should try an look at oDesk. They have a lot of legitimate jobs available that will suit your skills. Once you register, make sure to take the oDesk readiness test and take several tests as well. Before applying, make sure that the employer has a verified payment method to that you're assured you'll get paid :)

yes, i have registered at odesk, but the chances of getting the job is slim. lots of applicants that are more competent are vying for the job. thanks.

Just be patient :) It took me a month before I got my first contract but everything else followed after. If you're really into data entry, the competition is really high since a lot of contractors are applying for that job. If you have other sets of skills that you think you can bank on, utilize those :)

i also think that most of the data entry jobs are scams and we need to pay money for them and most probably they would not pay money for the work one do.

you should sign up on sites where it does not require any fee for you to join. i would always love to work from home too and have always been attracted to data entry jobs because they are the most easy job to do online, i have been looking and most of the time i can see a lot of data entry websites that requires these fees for us to get started, i have tried "legitonlinejobs" and paid the desired amount in the hopes of being able to do data entry jobs and other jobs they presented, i paid about $49, and got accessed to their member's area, it is nothing but a list of websites and companies where you can join for free and have to apply for the job yourself. sometimes all the talk and promises they have on the front is attractive but when you pay the amount to get the job, it is all the same.,..there are those that offer data entry, but you have to bid and apply for them on freelance websites..after completing the job, the employer gets to pay you for it. i have tried it too, and sometimes it takes time to get accepted because of a lot of other competitors who are more skilled and experienced. also it depends on you and the person if you really have the ability and determination, you can make it and get successful in working from home as a single parent,.

Don't go for data entry jobs that requires you to pay a fee before you even start getting any work from them.
It is usually a scam. Don't fall for it.
You can make use of mylot and spend more time here to earn more money as you can trust that mylot is a genuine site and paying their customers all these while.
