hello everyone,I am a new number in Mylot.
Not long ago i had a problem has really been bothering me.As one Auditing principles special field student,i love my special field heartily, am that the person has thrown into gigantic fervency and energy together.
But the teacher of our economic law,put bluntly,he said that:"Accounting and auditing profession is for the birds.Where is good?how good? Not a little good. The really good is legal professional."and so on.
I think that's something the teachers can't does.we all can't stand for such behavior.A good teacher should treat all his students alike, treat all the professional respect. What he said in public is not appropriate.
The question to you is if you come accross this thing, what would you do?

If I were you, I would tell the teacher that it is my choice to go into that profession. I don't think he can stop you from making your choice. I mean a teacher's job is to guide you but if they are narrow minded enough to not accept the field you choose then you can just stick to what you think it's best.

All right,even if he is't a teacher can't disorderly speak.What's more,he is a really teacher.
Uh,can you guess what have we done.We lodged a protest against our teacher, and we propose to change the teacher's request to the school in joint names. This is crazy and reasonless,i know.

I would never say so to my students about their majors. This is not what a teacher is supposed to do. Whatever job we do, we should receive respect from people. Suppose nobody works on the farm, where can we get food? Without food, can any of us do our own work well? Impossible is the answer. So I don't think that your teacher is rational to give comment like this to you students.

I'm an English major right now, and I know how a lot of people are underestimating my course. If my teacher said that I know that I'll want to stand up and defend my course, but I also know that I probably would not have the courage to say that...
By the way, last summer when I was applying for a scholarship, the interviewer asked me if there were jobs for English majors, and I told him that I think there are. Then he asked me if there is money in the writing field, and I blurted out, "If you're good at it" in a confident tone. He chuckled, nodded, and repeated, "If you're good at it..."

Well i agree with you.i think the only thing we have to do is to believe in ourselves, and stick to our choice.
In other words,i'm convinced that the only thing that kept me going was that i loved what i did.

I can relate to this. Well, kind of. I grew up in a not so rich family. We were not dirt poor, but we were poor compared to our peers. I would be ridiculed by fellow students and teachers alike. It was very hurtful. Unfortunately, more than 20 years later I am still fighting the same battle I was fighting back then.
I am trying to get at of course, we do not like to be ridiculed, especially about things that are important to us. But, all we can really do is ignore our professors about this. Unless, you catch something on video with your phone anymore, you really do not have a case against the person. Well, in the case of cyber bullying, yes that is clear evidence. But, in your case a teacher bullying you, you do not have any evidence of such, unless you capture it at least on the audio of you phone recorder. Then you will go to the dean, well your professors boss and bring your case to the professors boss.
