"Good job "bunso"! ...this, i had to tell my eight [8] year old daughter just few minutes ago!
She has just finished her Ballet Class together with some friends, me as their "striving to learn" ballet teacher. or shall i say, facilitator! i told her that if she is too interested to learn and continue experiencing ballet [which she started when she was four], she must, as well learn to wash her ballet costume so that she could always have it ready for their next class.
what motivated her to obey?
...when i told her she has to learn it, while mom is also striving to learn to teach them ballet -- just so she could still have an enriched summer experience despite our inability to make her enroll for another summer ballet class since we are currently experiencing financial difficulties.
giving her a big hug amidst the amount of sweat which she had after washing her own ballet costume was that same amount of smile which i saw on her face while she requested if she could then go out to play outside as her reward. :-)ProfGail

You are one great mom, teaching your child house chores at an early age makes them responsible. Kudos! ;) Additionally, it's something the child can use as motivation. She is now learning to work hard, be responsible and disciplined is she wants to achieve something. I think as she grows older, she would thank you for giving her that chance of independence and motivation a mother can only give. Good job ProfGail! ;)

Hi joizee! Thank you for your compliment. I also hope too that she would always take things positively without tantrums as i continue to train her some more. :-)
