I'm traveling in twelve days to New Mexico for a month. I have been trying to find ink for my printer that is cheap. The only one I found that was really the best price does not ship to Puerto Rico. So I was thinking if I order the ink and have it sent it to my daughters house in New Mexico do you think when I return to Puerto Rico I will be able to carry it in my carry-on bag?

If you are bringing a considerable quantity, you might want to check if this item is taxable at the other end. I believe you can get this information at your post office or courier service companies at your place.
I think it would be better that you pack it in your check in luggage than your carry on being that it will arouse unnecessary suspicion when there's no way to determine if it is ink physically. All it takes is a nut job on duty at the airport and you will have a bad start for your trip.

Thank you, I was not planning to check my bag that is the problem. I will have to call the airline to find out. I was just hoping someone could tell me that they have traveled with replacement ink in their luggage. I was only buying one twin pack.

I don't think the airlines will be of much help since they are not responsible for the airport's security which are being operated independently. They are the ones that make you stand on a platform while they use a metal detector on you while the other is looking at whatever appears on the x-rays of your carry on and handbags.
Because these ink cartridge packages are sealed and there's very strict procedures these people have to follow, it just take one to wake up on the wrong side of the bed to ruin things for you. So, if you are carrying please consider having your luggage check in. Besides, you never know if some of your other things you bring are of carry on compliant and I am sure you wouldn't want to have some of them refused or get yourself inconvenienced. It is just too much of a hassle for me.

the best thing to do is call your airport and make your question known to them
