none~ if you keep money in your wallet it will be spent.Only if you are going somewhere to spend money then take some with you.I keep just enough with me to buy a drink and a snack everyday. Good advice if you want to save

what type of emergencies would require cash only and not be able to use plastic or debit card or right a check?

if you really willing to spent, you can do it with your plastic money too even you dont have cash ...so where is saving according to you?

I don't keep any cash on me. I always use debit and I have a cell phone, so I feel like I don't have much to worry about.

I think Tiff means she doesn't need to worry about money for a public pay phone or if she gets into trouble she can just call someone on her cell. Maybe someone with money lol. :D

strange thing, I don't have a wallet and sometimes I lose money, I really hate when that happens, huh, I must buy a wallet soon becouse losing money its not good at all!! But i would have enought money for one day, no more than that on me I think..

I use my debit card almost exclusively so I only carry about $20. When I was in Japan I did not have a Japanese bank card so I carried anywhere from 5,000-10,000 yen or about $40-$80.
