I know.. you have apple in mind but it is quite expensive.. it cant be bought by anyone who has a regular income... the other brands such as samsung and htc is letting the consumer taste the feeling of being in the trend even though the phone is not worth 50,000 pesos or more than 1,000 usd just for a phone... what do you like of these mentioned brands? Do you think it can have a long life time in the market industry with their current marketing style?

@cgracie97,
Well HTC is not so popular here in India but I hear the HTC One is one of the best-designed phones on the planet.Most Indian people either prefer Nokia or Samsung because they provide the competitive service here.

Samsung is one of the best cellphone brands in India plus I have Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos which I bought for INR 20000(apr.US$360) two months ago and I'm pretty much loving it so I would go with it.

I thought nokia was the famous brand of phones in india... Anyway, is there any great difference of that unit you have from galaxy ace?

Yes Nokia is the top mobile brands here and then Samsung.Of course there is a difference.Galaxy Grand is a 5 inch phone and Galaxy Ace Plus or Ace 2 both are small.

HTC is also quite expensive unlike Samsung which presented the consumers with android powered phones that is less than 7000php or less than $120. As for me, I dont have an HTC phone, only a Samsung and it has been with me for quite sometime now. Just dont let your Samsung fall or dont drop it because it is not that durable.

my htc phone is durable, it fell 3x accidentally... when my samsung phone fell for the first time i got so worried.. though it was fine, im not assured of its durability.. youre right that samsung is not durable... My friend has a galaxy note, shes very afraid of someone using it without care because that certain unit is sensitive... wew

Samsung has come a long way. It It now occupies a strong hold in the market of smartphones. HTC, not so much. They were quite a rage but they are fizzling out. I think Samsung are here to stay.

Samsung is just a new title holder which had a hard time getting through the market, but with the entry level they had few years back, they got the consumer's interest right then and there... and they were successful in maintaining their level, and have gone better as time passes by... HTC on the other hand,is not known of having a consumer-friendly price since they have started their market in a high-end technology:unit so i think they will also live long because they have a good quality, as well....:)

Check some reviews by real users or visit some websites if you are in doubt between both brands. I think Samsung delivers good quality for the money they ask in every department. I saw a Samsung Galaxy, really cool device, the design if great. The HTC is good too, perhaps the quality is even better.
I'm sure Samsung will survive in the market for good, long years.
