We know that working online is not an easy task. In most cases, people would give up after failing for several attempts. Most often, they would give up when they are just one step before reaching success. If they only know, perhaps they have tried a little further. When I had the time, I asked them why they decided to quit. The response was that the earning was so little. Yes, I remember that I invited them to join PTC sites before. It was a chance for them to grow on their own. I even encourage them to make their own research but I don't think they have done my suggestions. I guess not. After a year, we had a time to talk. They asked me how was my online earning activities going on. I told them I am doing fine with it. I can earn some amount enough to pay my monthly bills and at the same time I could save some amount. They were amazed and said that if they only continued with what they have started, perhaps they are already earning something. Now they are planning to start again. They asked me what is my secret. Well, I said I just believed that I can do it. Have a great day every one!

Although I don`t earn enough online to help me py for my living expenses, it does help me with my vacations. Sometimes, when I read that for other people their online earnings are enough to pay their bills, I discover that the place I live is very expensive. But no matter how much you save, if it helps you in any way, it is worth it.

I have my phone, a light cable TV (not all channels and internet for about US $100 a month. It was the best deal I could get. In fact, I didn`t care for cable TV, but if I had only phone and internet it would have been more expensive. Fortunatly I can live frugally with my retirement pension plus some money I recieve from my late husband. Those bills are the most important single item at home. And I don`t spend much on clothes or gifts.

You got it marguicha! It's not that the income is too high but the expenses in our place are just minimal as compare in your place and several other places in the world. For example, the monthly bill of internet range from Php 1000 ($25) to Php 1,250 ($31.25). I'm also glad that you could use the amount you earned online for your travel. So you can say that the money you get from online source can make you go places. Thank you for sharing!

Learning online is not an easy tasks. We need to double our effort to earn money and support our daily living.I admit, sometimes, I am very lazy to do the tasks but my motivation in pursuing it is that, spending money is just very easy but earning money is so very hard so I need to balance the two so that I will survive as I am only supporting myself.

You sound great and you sound like you are also having fun with it . I wouldn't mind working from home but I just cant find a way to make enough money , at least more than my day job . If I could make more than I do daily I would rather stay home . I dont even make enough to pay bills . For now I am just doing all the online earning thing as an hobby and earn a bit also . Its not for me but congrats .

Everyone seems to think that instant gratification is better, that's why people to quit easily if they don't see results even though these results would accumulate to more earnings over time. It's important to also diversify. I think failing to diversify is also one of the reasons they quit easily - they may be focusing too much on just a few sites to earn. Personally I don't like leaving myLot even though I am busy with other online sites to earn money. I know I could always come back to it and respond to some discussions when I feel like it. I guess over the years I have become realistic when setting goals with regards to making money online.

Same thing here my dear. I invited all of my close friend to join me with this earning online but only one listen and continue to listen everytime I ask my friends to join an earning site. Now, most of them though indirectly not showing amazement are saying- they should have tried it before. Well, I don't ask them anymore, leave them if they want to earn online- then they can do by searching.

I also have some friends who are continuously work on the sites that I introduced to them. But most had given up already. Yes, I don't follow up on those who quit already. I think I have done my part. It's up to them if they still want to continue or not. But if they will ask for assistance, then that will be the time that I will assist them. Thank you for sharing!

Hi Aries, I am also working online and sometimes offline. But after I quitted my 8 to 5 job a long time ago, I ventured into brick and mortar business. It wasn't easy as I needed a lot of capital and also time to supervise the outlets. Then, the business occupied so much of my time that I neglected my family. I've decided that being a wife and a mother, the best way to work is to stay at home and look after my family and at the same time be able to work. So, I figure working online is part of the solutions. At first it was very frustrating and there were a lot of trials, but now I am earning (though still not enough to say it is lucrative) and manage to save some money. Working online is not much different from working offline because in order to earn good money, one needs to put consistent efforts and your customers who recognize your good service will reward you with good feedbacks. These feedbacks in return will earn you new and repeat customers. Perseverance and making efforts to over-deliver your service are just some of the keys to success in working online. I also think there are many opportunities working in the internet, it is just a matter of knowing your talents and skills, how much time one is willing to work and concentrate on continually trying to improve oneself. Thanks for sharing your great insights and happy mylotting!

hi there aries :) good for you that you are successful in this field. i guess, writing is one of your passions. i've been here in mylot for nine years now. there is no other writing online i engage myself with. or yet, i tried to register it there and when i got there and read the rules or their ways i back off. to say, from all of the earning sites pertaining online, mylot is the best i encountered so far. it is light here and easy although we only earned cents. but it is okay with me, i am here as for my pastime and enjoyment purposes. also to meet friends all over the world. not only that, i can practice my english proficiency in this site :) so thanks anyway, you will really succeed with what you do or passion if you will belief than you put thus believe into reality by doing the process to attain your goal. so, congrats friend :)

Don't limit yourself, emily. Always aim for the best. Although we should not be expecting that we can get everything in an instant but we should try to learn the process so that we will be able to know how to deal with it and thereby we will be able to come up with a good outcome. One of the habits of a successful person as written by a famous author, Stephen R. Covey "Keep the end in mind." Thank you for sharing!

You say you are making enough to pay your monthly bills and save some money - I congratulate you and would love to know how you are doing this and which sites you are using as well as Mylot! I have never made anything like that much, but I would be interested to find out where it is possible. I have made small amounts on-line. Making a little money on-line is encouraging. Sites like webanswers.com pay you for answering questions, but you are not likely to earn a living doing that! However, it is encouraging to be earning something, however small. Some people do earn a very useful amount, but they write good answers to the type of questions that get most views from search engine users - such as those on health, financial and legal matters. They also spend several hours every day on the site. A few years back, it used to be possible to make money writing general articles on-line, on sites like Hubpages and Squidoo, but now it's much harder to do that without having a commercial angle. For instance, you can write reviews of items sold on Amazon and have a link to the product on Amazon's website. Or you can write on subjects which people frequently search for on the Internet, such as pregnancy, tax, making money, computer games, Japanese anime. You really need a "niche" subject in which you can establish yourself as an expert. Most people don't make much money on the Internet. They participate mainly because they enjoy it and because they are learning a lot. The small amount of money they may get is a bonus. I'd love to be able to earn a living on-line and would be happy to persevere to achieve it. However, I guess what I'm trying to say is that you can persevere forever on some sites and never receive more than pennies. You need to know where to focus your efforts - perseverence only pays off if you are perservering in the right thing!

Hi ARIES1973, Working online is definitely tough. Out of the thousands of people who tried only a handful will be successful. There are many reasons for this - belief in oneself is one. You know your post reminds me of a song - "you can achieve when you believe" - lovely song. Have you heard of it? Good luck and I hope you'll achieve more with your commitment and perseverance. Have a good day.

This is really amazing! I am wrong, perhaps I should have said you are amazing. As I am not a believer in the stay at home and use the computer to pay monthly bills with industry I thought most people were really just struggling only to get a little money. Now I see there is at least one person in the world that is making it work for themselves! Congratulations. I am happy that you say the reason for your success is hard work and not to give up. When we do not believe in something we can never be successful with it is so true.

I find I get confused with the terminology of what an online worker actually is. I have friend who writes books, articles and does seminars. She makes a good deal of money and goes online too. The problem I am facing at the moment for myself is deciding what is best for me in terms of time and direction. I understand that there may be stepping stones to consider before I would get to my goal. I see you are working on many things and some are paying more than others. I fear I have perhaps a poor approach in this area in that I only pick the ones that I enjoy and not so much the things that might pay more. I get stuck in this with the attitude that the activity is all very little money and isn’t really important anyway which is perhaps a poor attitude to carry. Do you understand what I am saying? For example, if I was smart I might not write like crazy somewhere that pays very little but I do anyway! Another fear I have is getting very motivated and then end up stressing myself over things that amount to very little really, thereby ruining my chances of applying myself to something more worthy of my attention if it ever did come along. Maybe you have these kinds of thoughts sometimes as well? If so, how do you rationalise your time so well?

hi bluedoll! My success is in a way too far from those who are in the industry for long time in terms of amount. I am not earning that much. I am still building my career and I am on my way to achieving it. I think not as fast as those who are doing it on a full time but I won't allow to be left behind. I also changed plans and so happy that I did. I am always sharing with myLot whenever I found something new or something good which I knew could help others in whatever way. This is my way of sharing my blessings to mylot being the reason why I found out all of these things. thank you for sharing!

Like what kind of activities you got? Personally, I try to divide my time with all my sites and after evaluating a site, I would then decide if I will give more time on it over the others. I evaluate my performance every now and then to see if I am improving or not and to know what are the factors I need to consider. I have visited your site. Well written. Are you earning from it? Do you also write for other sites? Have you tried Expertscolumn? Have a nice day!

Quitters will never see what is beyond that point where they decided to stopped and quit moving on. They should be thankful that they were given an opportunity without any cost. They should be more innovative and resourceful. We are not one of them. So we have a great future ahead of us. Thank you for sharing!

I was at the point of quitting before when after a few weeks, no one is hiring me in oDesk. I even stopped applying because I felt it was useless. Until I came across a site that says myLot is a good place to earn so I decided to try it out. And it definitely paved way to greater things. I learned a lot about working online and legitimate sites that pay, thanks to the response from the members. And last month, unexpectedly, I was able to land two contracts from oDesk which is giving me a steady income so far. Quitting shouldn't be in everyone's vocabulary. Earning money, whether online or not, is not easy. You really have to work hard and put a lot of time and effort just for those cents that when added up, will total into a big amount :) Have a good day too!

Hi, to both of you, it was a pleasure to read your post Ayeesha. I see that you kept your feet on the path, and you got the results. Certainly everyone gets the results if the efforts are there, but I want to know more about your o-desk work. I also have the account there but I have not opened it in the months, I applied for the few jobs in the early times, then I left out. What work you do there? I see that there are a numbers of jobs for the Computer Engineers, and freelancers. What work do you do? @ Aries, Hi how are you? I hope you are doing good. I see that you are now filled with the optimism after the success with the blogging, keep it up. Have a good night ahead.
