Could one be a good leader when he Loses?

What do you think of this?
...could you be a good leader if you would allow yourself to lose?
A leader is somebody who leads the group, and one whom others follow.
Losing is mislaying something.
Sometimes, we just need to leave somebody behind who is in pursuit of something.
Such an amount of sacrifice when you wanted to be there all along, yet you just have to be out of the picture for a while so that the other would find his own ways to eventually learn how to grow. )
What do you think about this friends? your thoughts will always be regarded. :)profgail

nobody is perfect, even the leaders. a good leader is a person who is open to the suggestions of his group. someone who doesn't impose his decisions on others. someone who is humble enough to know that he is not infallible. he is not leading people who do not have their own minds. he should respect this and be able to guide the group to reach a compromise. losing over an an issue doesn't mean failure. it means respect for the group on the part of the leader.

Hi lady1993, yes, what really brings significance to one's leadership is his ability to guide, even if there are times he has to be by the distance. :)

To be the best is not always to be the first. Sometimes, to be the best , you need to be the last. Same with leadership. You don't always need to win. Sometimes backing down is the best leadership.

A good leader will always "win", in the sense that his team will have done their very best and brought out what are capable of, whether they end up first or otherwise. There can only be one team that will win, it does not that mean there is only one good leader. In fact the leader of the winning team may not even be a good leader, it is his team mates that won the race and not because of him.

A good leader is not just someone who always wins but someone who can stand up after his/her failure. Afterall, nobody is perfect, everyone can make mistakes, and all of us can experience failures. Being a leader, one should be an example of perseverance no matter how many times she/he loses. ^^
