Deciding not to fix goals.

Hi friends... Many times we fix some goal and start working on it and then suddenly realize that the goal decided is not practically achievable. So we have to just be satisfied with whatever we gain.
So sometimes we feel like not deciding the goals. I sometimes just feel that I must try my best and try to achieve whatever I can because my goals are too high in most of the cases. Do you have this type of attitude? Please share your experience here.
Thanks in advance. Have a nice time...!

when I make my own goals it should be achievable and has a time frame since I know myself well when I get so stubborn and when my laziness and reasons gets in my way. What I love with myself is so far I'm doing good I always starts with specific goals to achieve my general objectives. Funny thing is I use my calendar planner like somewhat related to brief diary so I know what wrong move I made for not reaching my monthly goals. Following the rule of simple to complicated goals haha

I think that this one is a wonderful idea...! Keeping the track of what you have been doing to achieve the goals so that you can find where you have gone wrong. This will help you to improve fast.
Setting goals and making time table to achieve in specific time limit is also very important thing.
Thanks for additing to the discussion. Have a nice time friend...!

First, when setting a goal it should be realistic and with a time table. When set, it should not be reset to lower levels. If not, your just making a fool out of yourself. A goal is a target to be worked on. Not to be reset when your failing. Otherwise, what's the use of setting up a target.

Fully agreed with your statement, friend. If we have to reset the goals in between, there is no point setting them before. If realistic goals are there, we will be to try to achieve them and enjoy trying to achieve them. Even if we do not achieve the desired goals, we will have satisfaction that we have tried out best.
So whatever you want to do with the goals, it is to be done in right in the begining only.

thye say we have to "aim high and hit the mark". however, this isn't always possible as sometimes circumstances hinder us from achieving our goals. however, if we always work hard with something in mind, we may not be able to get what we want but there will always be rewards for a job well done. what is important is perseverance and hard work. sometimes, everything falls into the right places and in the end we get what we want.

So "aim high and hit the mark" is good maxim but our aim should not be too high otherwise we will not be able to "hit the mark" even after trying very hard. It may so happen that we start thinking that our goal is too high and so we are not going to achieve it in any case.
In such cases we are mentally prepared that we will be falling short of our goal and so this way we lower goal even before we try. This happens when we have too high goals and so having reasonable goal is more than important having high goals which we can never achieve.
I feel that the goal should be high but achievable. Not achieving the goal inspite of trying hard and putting your best may cause frustration.
