i am against to nuclear power, its really dangerous and it has many disadvantages for environment.
all the time there is a big risk,if there is an earthquake or terorrist attack or wars near the nuclear factory.
i was living in japan and after a big earthquake, lots of radioactive air and dangerous toxics came out and effected the people.
it was like a nightmare to me.
but near this, nuclear power produce really good amount of energy and it helps people.
so which one do you choose?
even so dangerous,
you are for nuclear power? or
you are against to it?

I am likely to be against to the nuclear power. Although it can create a lot of power and usually it is still a safe way. However, once there is an accident, the result can be horrible. I just don't understand why the governments don't try some better energy such as the solar or wind. At least they will not be so dangerous.

I definitely would like to see a safer alternative to nuclear power. Unfortunately it produces a lot of power compared to other sources, in fact if not nuclear then most likely it will be coal which is very polluting. Solar and other sources currently can't achieve the same scale as nuclear, more improvements needed.

I don't know that I'd say I'm against nuclear power per sae... but it is super dangerous and my heart goes out to you and everyone else that was effexted by the earthquake and the radioactive air. For that reason I think that our energy sources should be evaluated and changes should be considered. Also, my boyfriend and I are watching the TV series Jericho right now. It is an older show, but I never got to watch it when it was on the air and only now have got the chance to see it. And, I have to say, it seems like something that is all too possible and... oh well, maybe I'm against nuclear power after all!

if you'll ask me, i will say no to nuclear too. it's quiet risky to have it. i mean what is the real purpose of having it when time comes, a big blast will happen by a simple mistake. it is too powerful, too useful but too dangerous. they could have another option to get tremendous amount of energy to be consumed by the people. so please stay safe :)

If it is something that can destroy people's life, i am really against it. Why do we have to kill our own brothers and sisters. I understand it give power, but i am realy against it.

I against it.
Like a double-edged sword, nuclear power has brought to humankind not only tremendous benefits but also nagative impact. It have posed unrecoverable damage to the environment. So,in order to protect the environment,we should explore new energy, and not to develop nuclear energy.

Let's don't give up on nuclear power just yet. Mankind's technology in this area is still in it's infancy. Future advances will bring much safer methods. Fusion will always be much cleaner than fission. Nuclear provides the greatest source of energy. After all, the sun is nuclear energy. See how well that works. It's been running on it's own for billions of years with no trouble at all.

We have a nuclear power plant here in our country and it is not useful and just a stock because until now the government is debating whether to use it or not. They still cannot decide to use it because of its bad effect to the people nearby the nuclear plant. If I'll be ask, of course, its a No no for me. Better to be safe than sorry.

if all the nuclear plants in this world shuts down, we will have a power shortage. unfortunately, we haven't learned harness the capabilities of solar and eolic powers. unless we are able to do so on a large scale, we are dependent on nuclear power. however, we do have an international safety monitoring agency that keeps track of these nuclear plants. as long as they are following the rules and guidelines set of this agency, then there is less danger of radiation.
