If you fail college what would you do?

If I were to fail, I would just drop out of college and probably find a way to start my own business and develop the skill that I learned on my own because college is expensive as hell. What about you? Will you continue college despite how pricey it is or just drop out? If your ambition is to become a lawyer, engineer and etc probably you won't drop out because you depended on that diploma/degree to get a job as what you want to be.

There are people who succeeded and became rich even without proper education or college diploma. But not everyone can be like that. Those are just special people with special skills. Even if I succeeded in life without a diploma, I still go back to school and get myself one. It's something I can be proud of.

BannedHelsing has the best philosophy of all, on this subject! In my experiences in life I have learned that you don't have to be educated 'all the way' as some people think! There are a lot of people out there that are going to be successful whether they have college degrees or not! Some people have to have a degree, but I'll guarantee you some people are intelligent already without college and will be successful in anything they do! One of the examples of this is myself! At first I hesitated to drop out of college although I was struggling a lot! I finally did quit, but little did I know that was the best decision I ever made! I may not have gotten my degree, but what I did learn in high school, and 2yrs of college helped me be successful in what I am doing today! 'Life' is the best education anyone could ever get or buy! At least I am happy with what I am doing, instead of being stuck in a profession that I don't like!

Honestly I have failed two times on one subject, Financial Accounting 22. But I have failed because I made in on purpose for my parents to allow me in shifting other courses. But unfortunately they disagreed. If you are facing financial problem then there are many ways to earn money such as engaging in business. But if you really want to finish studies then nothing will stop you even you failed on that subject. The reason why you failed is that you haven't learn much so you need to take it one more time. :)

I'm from an art college. Art is something you can learn on your own. When I enroll into college I had no idea what an illustrator does until I learn it. Now I know what an illustrator does in her/his career. I can improve what I lack on my own. I mean there's an abundance of art books. If I get like 20 of them it still wouldn't add up to what my college charge. I can still learn the same thing. There are online art classes and you can even to get someone online to critique your work as well.

Are you being sarcastic? If not then never mind. I don't want to be a teacher, not in a million years. Same goes with being an accountant. I hate accounting.

Oh! so your course doesn't need to be enrolled. Why don't you try to be a teacher or an accountant :)

I'd probably work a heck of a lot harder, most times if you're failing you're not giving it your all. Sometimes people who really try end up failing, and if you are giving it your all and still not passing I would say it's time to drop out. There is no point of being there if you are giving it your all and still not passing, because you're just wasting money.

You can say I had a bit of psychological problem. I did give it my all but sometimes I strangely can't bring myself to do the work given. I'm not sure if I had ADD but I realized I had some symptoms of this disorder.

Well, that happens. I never really had any issues with college. I only quit going because I got pregnant. I usually do well in an academic setting if I actually try. I have to pay attention though. I found for me it's more of a not wanting to be there situation that's going to make me fail, because I have no desire to pay attention. Once I learned if I paid attention I had no problems learning a lot of things opened up to me. I found I learned quite easily. Whether this is still the case though is beyond me.

Graduating from university is one of many people's ambitions regardless of whether or not they will use the degree to get a job. Being a university graduate adds to your social status too. But being success in life has nothing to do with formal educarion. There are successful people who never went to university at all.

I think dropping out is not a wise decision. We can study harder to pass. Yes it is not easy to do but giving up is not the right answer.

The reason if I failed and I want to drop out is because there's not enough money to fund the studies. What's the point of paying to learn something that I already know?

Why will you failed if you already know the things that will be taught to you? I you don't have funds for studying you can find ways. If you really want to pursue something you will find solutions.

Maybe your college works differently than mine. You see I didn't really failed. I had this thing called the "Option To Progress". It still gives some chance for anyone to increase their score slightly to pass. Or I have to do is redo and resubmit and that's it.

Making our own business is something interesting. Being entrepreneur is good as long as we know the way so we can reach success. Our future not only for being lawyer, doctor, engineer, etc. Everything you want to do, just do the best and focus, just do as if it is a special one, and you will find the success

You know, I am in the middle of this dilemma. I agree with you about finding some sort of business opportunity. In fact I went back to school to get a degree in order to have more credibility in the business world. I did some marketing in the past and had marginal success, but not sustainable by any means. Now I've been in school for two years and I'm ready to find some other way to spend my time.

I think you would never fail if you exert all your best in studying and coping up with your academic life. But if I will really fail, I would just retake it considering that I really failed because of valid reasons.

I will always try again and not giving up in failures. If you fail, you have to try again as you have to work hard to achieve your success. But it’s different if you quit college because you want to start your own business and good at it. If you don’t have degree and have to work to another person, I will advice you to finish your study. It’s hard to a person who has a degree to get a job and it’s even more harder for person who don’t have a degree. So I’d say don’t take a chance.

I would definitely give myself a second chance. I do not believe in failure. I know that if i'll do my best and give it another try, I believe I can be who I want to be. Failure is not forever.

I will continue studying until I finish my studies and proved to myself that I am not a failure. It is more different when you have graduated with a degree and a diploma. After I finished studying that is the time I will work hard and acheive my goals in life.
