Dreaming of a past lover

Woke up to a dream of reconnecting with a former lover for the second time in a week. Ed and I broke up in early October 2010. I moved away, thinking I had met someone to love, but I'm having doubts. A few nights ago, I dreamed of coming home after running errands to discover a strange car in front of our apartment building. I didn't recognize it, and after a few choice words for the stranger who was nowhere to be seen, I began to start bringing in the groceries. And around the corner comes my former lover Ed. I nearly dropped my groceries in shock-it was a VERY long drive to begin with, but how did he figure out where I was? I woke up when I saw him, but there were things in the dream that were not right, like a tree growing out front. Now this morning I was dreaming of visiting some sort of show (NASCAR maybe) and was once well behind my boyfriend. I was annoyed, but figured we'd catch up later. I had stopped at a booth to speak with two women who created toddler-sized Junior (Earnhardt) clothes-when I turned to leave, there was my former lover Ed again! I woke up as I was explaining that I was there with my current boyfriend Jim. But I sensed that he had been looking for me too! Am I crazy? I was head-over-heels in love with Ed, but he didn't want to be with me enough. I'm not considering chasing after someone from my past, but is it possible for someone (Ed) to end someone else (me) messages telepathically, or is that nonsense? I love Jim a lot, but with Ed, I learned to be in love with someone. Does anyone interpret dreams here on myLot?

I don't know how to interpret dreams but I do believe that specific dreams have meaning. Who knows there maybe a happy ending behind those dreams. Just wait till you receive any conclusion :)

My take on this? You are dreaming of someone else you loved in your past, because you know this current relationship is over, and pointless, but your subconscious is wanting desperately for love and happiness. You are a very loveable person, you deserve better, you know it, but you are not vain, nor selfish, you think too much about the 'other person', because you are selfless and generous. Any man would be lucky to have you.

Oh thank you sweetheart! It's funny how my cyber friends have given me more love and support than anyone else. I made a rash decision in moving in with this man, but he's turned out to be a thinner, balder version of my ex husband! I'm in the middle of submitting my information for a temp agency to find a job, or my answer would be longer. Thanks for cheering me up!

I may not be that active on mylot much anymore, but YOU are on the short list of discussions I pay attention to. You are one of the sweetest people I know, cyber or in person.

I think most probably it might be having some meanings. I think most dreams have meanings and sometimes dreams are said to be unfulfilled wishes that comes to us.

That's what I'm trying to find out-if someone has any idea if I'm wishing my former lover was trying to reach me, or if this was all in my head.
