I just newly learned how to drive a motorbike. It's my first time and I was very excited everyday to drive.Since I have no licensed I just drove only in a village where there were no policeman to catch me.But unfortunately, recently I was driving a bike when suddenly bumped onto the other car.Luckily nothing had happened to myself and i never fell down 'coz the driver stop in a sudden..I was really felt shy somebody around me and i drove straight forwardly as if nothing had happened.Without my knowledge the driver was looking at me, when he about to reach me he stopped and I refrained from driving too.I was terribly afraid and he said I need to pay the damage I've caused. It was just a scratched in front of the car.It was really embarrassing because we talked in front of people. He said " he will report this to a policeman and asking my driver license. What I did I just begged for him make friends of him and I told him it was my fault and it was not my intention to do it.I talked to him nicely and with humility for him not to get angry.I told him i was a beginner and I told him i have no money to pay..Eventually, he forgave me and he advised me to be careful in driving..I was very thankful that he was with a huge heart if not I don't know what to do..And if not with my helping kind words and my being friendly to him, probably I was at the policeman. Now I have a phobia to drive again..any advice for me to have a confident to drive again??

The driver of the car was very nice to you it seems to me. I used to ride a moped when I was age 19 years old and I had a crash helmet for it. I hadn't taken any driving test for it. I didn't keep it for all that long and ended up selling it to a motorbike shop.
Years later I cycled on my push bike. One time I cycled through a village and it was time to stop at a red light. The car in front of me reverted into me and my bike. It was a terrible shock and it damaged my front wheel.
I went to the school that I taught at. Luckily the care taker mended my bike. The car driver had given a force telephone number. I so wish I had written down number plate and contacted the police with it.
I hope that you can pass your driving test and go back to riding your bike.

Hi there Jcjnuel16! Welcome to Mylot!
Well, first thing to do is get a license, a student license first while you are learning or getting more practice in driving. Then, you should always be careful in driving. You can practice where there is not much people or other vehicles passing. Then, you should always be careful, practice defensive driving. It is a good thing that the car owner was nice and that no one got hurt.

jcjonuel for goodness sakes do get a license as you cannot just keep talking yourself out of having to p ay damages or getting a fine.
The license will make you more self confident on your bike.so do get that license.

Not a mistake but a lesson learnt . Your gesture was perfect that instead of the man getting angry , he saw your honesty , humility and sincerity that is why forgiven you ! That is a perfect moved , if committed a mistakes , show humility instead of arrogance ! Listen to the man while he is expressing himself , take note of the lessons he taught you . Do remember you are fortunate that you happened to bump in a man who got cool and good manners because there are many who are really arrogant , will never listen to young and will not accept any reason that you will be giving. next time drive with precaution. Life is only 1 and no rewinds.

the most important advise i can give you is this. before you get on a motorbike again, get a license. this is a requirement. it was good that the man was very kind and you didn't do much damage to his car and to yourself. don't give in to your fear. learn from this accident. next time you get on your bike, always pay attention. this will lessen your chances of having accidents in the future.

Hmmm, I have had a similar experience where I hit a car and got afraid of driving, but that happened AFTER I received my license. So, do remember, if your friends tell you that they are driving without license, advise them not to and tell them your experience. Another thing, I feel that your action of driving away when you know you bumped somebody is a little inappropriate, you should have stayed there and confronted the driver of the car. But all in all, experiences are lessons in disguise. :) Don't worry about it, promise yourself that you'll be a better driver next time and be extra careful on the road. Always wear a safety helmet, too.

at least you've got your licensed when that happened but as for me the level of fine if it was reported to police was higher compared yours.Yup I accept it was inappropriate. I was really felt embarrassed that's why I drove away from him.I never checked on what happened to his car. In my mind i need to go away and something never happened..anyway, thnks to you reallt...

It is very stupid and dangerous to drive without license which mean your are driving also without road insurance, in any accidents then who will compensate the victims? In my country driving without license can be charge attempt murder if your knock into innocent people or atleast manslaughter because your knowling drive dangerous. You were lucky the driver let your escape , hopely your will not misuse this as a sign to be naught again.

You are so lucky that the driver fogave you. Everybody make faults, we can't stop doing things if we make mistakes. What we should do is figure out the problem and then fix it up properly. I understand your feeling this time, but don't be so scared, it is just a little issue in our life, get over it and just pratice more.

Well you have read this over and over and over..But your condidence
will come way up once you get you license...and you need to that
before you get in serious trouble and believe when you do wrong
it will come to light...but you should not want to come up short.

As I have read your situation, you were very luck that you hit your bike to a car of a kind man.My advice here is that before driving bike you must have a licence and must have control while driving. However, this is a general case so be so afraid and hopeless. This is a general case that normally occurs to anybody who is a learner.

Very sad to here that... You do not need to be worry to ride motorcycle. Just be careful and keep getting your driving license soon so that you have bravery and self confident to drive. If you are afraid of riding again it will be worse, you will get difficulty of going everywhere

It’s not you it’s us. After nearly 1,000 worst dates and 26,300+ comments, we have decided to stop posting here at My Very Worst Date. When we started the site back in early 2009, it was for a laugh and to give people a place to commiserate about dating, and we never dreamed that we’d be featured everywhere from CNN and Yahoo to TIME and Jezebel. We never expected to see still be around nearly four years later.
