Sometimes simple language is something that kids enjoy to hear over and over again in a book.

Well of course, I strongly recommend that you would first really have a good grasp of the English language. The more you are familiar with the grammar, and the more vocabulary you have in mind, it will become easier for you to write and express yourself. But for me personally, I'd love to read other people's works. In that way, I will get to know different styles of writing, and their practical application. Through reading you will get to know what style of writing you like and not. However, what really matters is that you have that ability to make every word you write reach the person reading it. That it will have an impact to the reader, and make a mark.

to improve writing skill you should be read as maximum you can. First write in your mother tongue and than translate it in language in which you like.

To be a good writer, the first step is to read all those good books. Learn from those books, what could make the people attracted to read it. And then write some passage yourself and see whether it could be improved by asking other people to read it and whether they are attracted to read it.

I've asked a similar question to my third year high school English teacher, and so far all of the English teachers I've had say the same thing over and over again. They tell me and my classmates to read a lot and to write a lot. I guess the more exposure you get to the style that you want, the better you become in it.

For me the best you can do is write first on a draft, so that you can edit it anytime you want and you can change the wordings on it, and always have a English dictionary beside you, and always have a notebook with you so that you can jot down a sudden idea that comes into your mind.

I think that journaling can be very good for this very thing. Not only is it cathartic and relaxing but also a good discipline for writers. It can improve English usage, grammar, and you can write down your ideas and even parts of stories. Just writing daily can help you become a better writer. It doesn't have to be a manuscript or something to do with your writing. Just journaling about daily events can keep you writing and improve skills you will use later on in a actual book.

Hello Gamyam I´m glad to read you. I think you must read a lot of good literature in first place. In second place you have to be creative, and to be creative you should change your routines time by time and in third place you need a lot of peace and silence. Good luck! Blessings Gamyam... dainy

Before, I was fond of writing a poem in my mother language "Filipino". Indeed it is my hobby before and I loved to create one even short stories. But now, I do not have time anymore to create at least one for I always tired from work. I am looking forward to create an English poem and short stories in the near future.

improve writing skill is not easy task, but you can learn it step by step. First, try to found your topic to write, make some brake down ideas, and then develop in to full writing. It is a good idea if you always remember the pattern of a good sentence in each paragraph.

You don't need really advanced language to write good stories, especially for children. Many people actually prefer simple language because it's easier to read and understand, although you'll need to think of smart and creative ways to use your words. If the story is interesting, the language shouldn't matter too much. Focus more on the content rather than the language.

The only way I was able to improve my writing skills, grammar and vocabulary is through reading. No school or cold lessons that dissect work bit by bit can help you, that I can very much say as fact for me.

I like to write also but am not a pro at it. People tell me to just keep writing. There are some free sites on the internet that gives you tips on writing. This might be an option and it won't cost you anything. Good luck to you. Just keep trying and don't give up.

Practice makes Perfect, they say; which is only partly-true. Practice only makes perfect when you add Criticism to Practice. If you "practice" and the only people who see/hear your practicing are people who tell you that you ARE perfect, you'll only get any-better if you're LUCKY! So have your audience (especially little kids) read your writing (maybe even telling them it's someone else's writing) and then have them tell you what they think of it ... often

I think in order for you to enhance your writing skill is that you read a lot. Reading helps you enhance your writing skill because you will learn from those different writers their technique and the way they write if you read a lot. You may just use simple language. It is not about the languages you knew to become a good writer, it is on how you write and use those simple languages to create a wondeefl story. Keep improving my friend, never guve up!
