In our 21st century, we were so worry about stay employed, and keep ourselves valuable to our employers and the job you work for. So, in this information age, we have to keep ourselves current constantly, don't you think. When it comes to aged, you might afraid that, those young, new, freshly graduated 20s something might replace you, as they are cheaper, and they are more innovative. That might scare a lot of people who might already in their middle age. Although I am 30 something, I also have such fear that might eventually come to me. I knew that for the past years, I haven't really kept myself, and not really dedicated to upgrade me. So, with this reality, I should consider painstakingly to work on gaining new knowledge from time to time, and keep competitive. Who knows, the world is constantly changing, and we just have to keep ourselves ahead, or current. Especially technology and computer programming. Don't you have such fear in you too?

I guess that it is understandable for employees within that age bracket. In my perceptive, it's always the older employee's experience status that makes me (or perhaps others like me in age) are really trying to achieve. In this day and age, even if you are young, almost everything is expected out of you. as if we shoot into the workforce with ready-made experience.

Yes u are absolutely right, in fcat the competition in the market has increased to such an extent that if u are not competent then anyone can get displaced, one needs to bolster his position strongly otherwise the threat always stays on one's head. i think everyone irrespective of any age have the threat of getting replaced today.
