Kitten's litterbox

I was just amazed with our new kitten because she really poops into the litterbox without being trained to do so. My father told me that a kitten will really poop into a litter box if there's any instinctively. They also cover they poop with the soil and ashes I put into the litterbox. They are so adorable and neat too :)

Cats are the master of cleanliness indeed. I also witnessed the same incident with my cat when she was little. It is amazing to see how their instincts work is it not? :)

They are truly amazing creatures. Its just sad that as they turn older and older, that trait of theirs decreases and eventually vanishes.

That's cool. It means your cat has felt comfortable enough with the litter box. 
But I guess your father isn't really right for that matter. Believe me, it won't happen to every cats. If they have more comfortable place to poop, you will need to train them to poop on the "right" place for some times first.
