The more confident toddler who operates smart phone, tablet, computers or even video games. The seemed well trained press a button or touching the screen. They also make parents afraid sophisticated devices will damage the brain of children. What do you think about this?

The extent of brain damage on people regarding the use of these gadgets have not really been that conclusive. But if further studies would should that there could be a long term effect on the use of these gadgets, then maybe we should try to lessen the amount of time we use them and try not to expose our kids from them at a very young age.

Hi, well I have this 1 1/2 year old niece. At her age she knows how to navigate my mobile phone, she knows hot to open my candy crash game in my i pad and she knows hot to navigate my laptop. I found it amazing considering her age.
Well, i am not surprise because new generations are more advanced when it comes to technology simply because they are more exposed to a different gadgets in their environment.

I don't let the kids play too much with the computer. I know my daughters lets her younger siblings play with her Ipod, and it does help when we are waiting a long time for something, but I would rather my child play freely then have to look at a screen of any kind.

My 2 year old son knows how to operate an iphone even when he was a year and a half old. He started with a samsung touch screen phone when he was 6 months old and now, he can operate any touchscreen phone with ease.
I guess, it's because their environment is full of different gadgets. Just remember that they still need to be able to play physically as that is a form of exercise.

Hi Bintang! I can relate to your post since my daughter is just three years. She can push buttons correctly and recognizes images very accurately in the laptop. I do believe it's because younger brains have higher activity thus higher memory and faster learning ability.
As for me, I don't encourage dependence on gadget for my daughter. The usual technology that I let her to use is the TV and the computer. Watching cartoons and educational videos are the things we let her see. And when she watches or use the computer, we're always there to guide her on what she sees.
But I would like her to experience and appreciate the outdoors more than the inactive playing with the gadget. I like her to create her own enjoyment and not rely on technologically-created environment. I like to feel true environment, be physically active, and much more curious and inquisitive. Discovering real things that building up in virtual reality. She can high exposure to technology at school and other places, but as long as I'm with her, limitations to technology will always be present.
Hopefully she can still experience what I had before when I was at her age. :)

As i noticed most toddlers this days can easily adopted on new changes in our environment like the new technology, maybe it because the milk they are using has high mental boost or something, there are a lot on new toddlers milk, that mind booster nutrients, i guess this is the reason why the toddlers has advance thinking.

Hi friend, I also worry with the high technology will influence their brain development, if it brings a good effect is okay, but if it brings a bad effect, it means a problem. I hope it does not damage their brain and brings bad effect.
