Update on my daughter

You remember I wrote about my daughter not being able to get her nose ring in or out. Well she thought she got that corkscrew one that I bought her back in, but it didn't go in all the way. She then workednto get it out. That took time. When she finally got it out she put a straight one in. Then when she got up in the morning she had the corkscrew one in again. Anyway, I looked up her nose and the end of the corkscrew post was not in there. She called David at the tattoo shop and he would repaired her for $20. So I took her and he did it for her. He said it had closed up on the inside and she had been threading that nose stud into the tissue and it was imbedded in her cartilage. She screamed when he took it out and cleaned her up inside and on the surface of her nose. She held onto my hand and screamed bloody murder when he repierced her nose. It's numb now with no feeling in her nose. So it's not hurting at all. I think she learned her lesson now. She will leave that stud in for at least 6 weeks. I put it on the calendar when she can safely take it out. David and Shane both said when it heals they will remove that one and put another one in for free. She doesn't have to buy one from them, she can bring ine she has or she can buy one something else. Her infection seems to be gone now. Their is no pus or redness. Her doc said to take her temp for a few days. She wanted to see her, but she didnt want to go. I told her that I would never go through a piercing for the second time. Hernfirst piercing didn't hurt at all, but this one hurt. It about killed me when I had mine done. Have you ever had to have a repiercing done? What was your experience. I pierced my own ears when I was 12 years old.

I have a piercing in my left eyebrow, but I found that it kept coming out when I was sweating, and wiping my brow with a towel at the gym, many time I would find it on the floor, so in the end I took it out and left it out, there's still a small indentation where the piercing was, but I have no inclination about repiercing it, either myself, or getting it redone, I guess it was a phase I went through, I have both my ears pierced but I only have a hoop in my left, I haven't worn a ring in my right ear for about 18 years now. I also have one in my right inner ear, which I have never taken out as that actually goes through part of the actual ear itself. I bet your daughter was glad that was all over and done with, and you too, no doubt!

It hurt my nose just reading this - ha ha. Eek! Ear piercing was no big deal for me - but I was 16 and I wanted them pierced really, really badly. I never had a repiercing, but I did have a second piercing done on one ear (because a friend had only one ear done - so I got it done for free) and that didn't hurt at all for some reason. Other than ears, I don't have the urge to pierce any other part of my body - ahhhhhhh!!

Of course it hurt when it was repierced... it was infected, so it was sore even without repiercing. Anyway, I don't know why anyone wants their nose pierced in the first place!

I got my ears pierced when I was 13 years old. I have never had to have it redone. I think getting the nose done would hurt alot.

Ouch! I have never had to have a reposting done. I pieced my own ears when I was around 12 or 13. I have had them close up in the back but was always able to get them broke back open myself. I sure hope she leaves that in for the 6 weeks and doesn't have to go through that again.

Uh,by the time I was in high school,I have my ears pierced. However, slowly, then I don't like to bring my earrings. I think this is just a personal hobby, nothing major.Maybe some people don't like to do that, maybe because of the vanity. However, whatever the reason is,also depends on the personal idea.Everyone is responsible for the behavior of the individual. Memories of your behavior, bitter, sweet, such as drinking water, one knows hot and cold.

I was about 9 when I got my ears pierced, my mother did it. Then I got a second hole years later when I was an adult. The holes are closed now because I haven't worn earings in years. I regret that they are closed but at my age I don't have to make a fashion statement. I am okay without wearing ear rings.

We had to redo Dearra's ears, as they closed up after the first piercing. She had had troubles with infection. No such problems with Naomi. No way would I ever pierce anything to do with the mouth due to fear of infection, and now you've gotten me worried about the nose too. Well I'm too conservative to go piercing things there anyway, though I think a nice little nose stud looks good on some people...

I am happy that your daughter's nose is getting better which I have to admit is rather scary for what she was going through. I don't take infection lightly and have seen cases going very bad. I hope that your daughter would really follow instructions to the book here.

I haven't had a piercing redone yet but there a couple that I want to get redone or that I may have to get redone somewhere down the line. My right nostril ring also closed up on me because I put a ring in right away and my girlfriend and I had to bend the ring to get it in. The bent part that wasn't all the way closed got stuck in my nose and I tried for a while to get it to go back through. I couldn't even get it out of my nose for a while but eventually after playing with it for a while it just fell out. I really want to get that redone because I have my nose pierced on the other side. Another piercing that I have that I may need to get redone down the line is my bridge piercing. I have the skin at the top of my nose in between my eyes pierced and these piercings have been known to merge out or just kind of get displaced. Mine looks like the skin around it is slowly getting smaller but I'm hoping that I can keep mine in for a while longer. I don't even know if I'll be able to get it redone because there is such a small amount of skin there.

hi dear PQ yes happened to me too. I got my ears pierced when I was in my early 20s and only a few days later one of the earrings fell out while I was combing my hair, so back to the jeweller who did that piercing and I had to have this shot into my ear the second time.

Fortunately, I have never had to go through the experience of piercing as I don't even care to wear jewelry. Even keeping up with more than one button is a hard thing to do. I would have to take them off to wash the jacket. I can imagine what it must be like not to lose an earring. I just loose things too easy. It is even hard for me to keep track of both gloves.

Wow that sounds really awful. I hope that this piercing will go better for her and that she will not have anymore problems. I only had my ears pierced so I haven't had any problems with that.
