every time i am not using my laptop, i would usually put it inside a transparent plastic. so that the dust would not get inside the fan which cause my laptop to keep on shutting down by itself before. so i don't want to spend money again for having others to clean those dust inside. it is not easy to clean the dust inside the laptop. so anyway, i just hope it would take many years before i would have problem with the fan on the laptop with the care i am doing with it right now.

I also put my laptop inside its case after each use. I cover my desktop PC, keyboards, printer, and fax machine as well. My house gets so dusty, and I don't always have time to clean every day...

Hi hotsummer, I try to protect my laptop away from the dust with the laptop case placing on the top of it after shutting down. It would be more effective if putting it into the case of course. But I find it's rather inconvenient to keep it in and take it out all the time Hope that dust accumulated doesn't damage my laptop Happy posting

Computer can eaily accumulate dust. Covering the desktop is an easy way to do that. Laptops cannot be covered. I clean it frequently to keep it neat and clean. I use facial wipes to clean my laptop.

Hello That's the perfect way. By this way you can surely protect your laptop from the dust. And yes for electronic products dust is the biggest enemy. So better we take care about it. Even I used to put my laptop in my laptop's bag. By this way I can make it safe from the dust and other problem. I used to put it in the bag at the end of the day.

I know what you mean by trying, to keep dust out of your computer, I had a laptop one time and I didn't have any problem,, with dust just the fan kept, getting to hot and the laptop shut down, I had problem with dust getting inside mt desk top computer and I took the cover off, my desktop computer and my fan was loaded with dust, I clean all that dust out, of my computer and now, it working great.
