Ive been reading this interesting book about finance (the barefoot investor by scott pape) who, at one point, goes on to say that you need to get over the idea thats been inplanted into our heads since birth that you need to buy more stuff in order to be happy. Your monitor is a CRT well you need a LCD, your LCD is only 15" well in order to show how good you really are you need a 19"
I always thought this was a bunch of hippy crap until I caught myself buying a DVD the other day not because I actually wanted to watch it, but because it would look good on my shelf.
Any thoughts or comments on this now rampant way of life?

I dont buy stuff unless I really want it...and I can afford it...I dont need anything really...my TV's big enough...the only thing I seem to need is socks...was that implanted?...maybe its a conspiracy...someone broke into my home and put a bunch of holes in my socks so I have to go buy more!...lol

We have a socks bag, every time we get odd socks in the ouse we just shove them in the bag.
The amount of matching pairs in that thing astonishes me :P
