I hope you remember my post about my son advising me a week and a half ago that he was looking for a place to live...leaving my head in s whirl wind...especially after a search of Senior Building and finding out the waiting list is from 3-5 yrs...WOW WOW was my thought..what am I going to do...I might end up moving with my daughter and her famiy until I find something...and they really don't have room for me or move into a room with my friend in her home...But those options are now voided...its not in the village I live but I need to do what I have to do until I can do something else..I have found an apartment in a Senior Building and I am just thrilled....I have presented all the paperwork thats required. So I am waiting until Thursday to hopefully sign my least, if all the background check and paperwork is returned to her... Update coming soon I hope...keep me in your prayers...God is so awesome!!!!

those waiting lists are all scarier than what they really are and very misleading. They call people when their name comes up and quite often they have found other housing so they get scratched from the list . I am so glad you found a place. I'm sure you will get it. You'll love it. The apartments for those places are usually really nice.

Thanks sid, yes that was scary,,but like I previously stated that there is something good come out of my search and that is the fact that seniors are living much longer...who would think that a waiting list would be do long for seniors...I am sure I will love the apartmen its really a lovely place, its all I need and I can afford it without any stress...

I hope you do get the place. I know that packing can be a pain (believe me I have done it so often and each time I hate it). I am sure that everything will be fine since you are a good person who never causes any trouble and I am sure that you have turned in all the necessary paperwork. I will continue to pray for you.

I know the wait lists here for nursing homes are outrages, which then they flow over into retirement homes and buildings, so then those lists are wait listed. They just built a new senior apartment building in the enxt town over it's $3,000 a month which is ridiculous, I know we looked for my Grandma and no way could she afford it, it would be cheapier for her to keep her house.
