I just watched the news today and I heard the U.S were looking for people who can actually stay and live in Mars for 7 years and no returning back to earth to check the life existence there and how things will work if possible to sustain human needs just like Earth.
Are you interested to stay in Mars if the study is successful? Will you be interested to go there and stay and live for 7 years to know how life works in Mars supported by US?

I'd probably try, for as long as I know that the planet is really safe and it going to Mars would be a seamless experience.

I wonder how things will get start when moving in to Planet Mars? I think I might develop depression due to loneliness and for 7 years what will keep you busy there since it's starting from the scratch.. hmmm...

Well, probably, we could be experimenting on planting some trees and see if it will live with that environment.

yeah, planting is a good idea to start with to know the climate and how it reacts to the environment itself

I find it extremely difficult to live for one day on Mars with its extremely cold climate and red color environment; let alone live for seven years. I don't know whether i am qualify at all for such an adventure and will get chosen by NASA, even if i want to. It is quite obvious it is only for someone who is young and is physically fit to be able to withstand such adversity in Mars. It will be a very tough mission for majority of people.

Anyway, once i get my own faster than light speed spaceship up and running, i don't need NASA to take me to Mars, i can go on my own. By that time , i may live there for a year, or month or day as i wish without risking my own life as their experiment subject in space exploration. I have no doubt this seven year experiment is a one way ticket given out to anyone by the goodness of NASA for us to enjoy while the director and chief engineer are testing their new space toys through us.

tough indeed one way ticket and aside from the qualifications you mention that's all they require nothing more. It is offered to any nationality and willing to go to Mars. Limited offer only. haha

Heck yes! Actually I'd like to be abducted and raised by a family of kind Martians.
