Do you ever sit back and realize how much you've changed?

Time just seems to fly by and everything is constantly changing. I was thinking about this the other day when I just couldn't find the interest in doing something I had done for years. I continued to sit there, pondering the idea, and realized that drastic changes occur right underneath our noses. How often do you really sit there and think about the last decade, what you preferred, what you disliked and then even go further..think back 20 years ago. What was it like? What did you do then that you cannot do now? Pondering life sometimes takes on an entity of itself, leading one into daydreams of memories long past.

I do sit back and reflect on my life and also how much did I changed as the years passed by. I also reflect on how am I now with regards to my faith and relationship with other people.

It is nice to know that some people still take the time out of this busy life and reminisce and think about the years past, gone forever except in the history books and our memories.

There are moments in my life that I am lying down just to rest and then floods of memories and thoughts come in my mind as if I need to review my life and look how far I have been. I guess everybody has that point every now and then.

I find it arises most often when one is reaching a personal crisis. I don't think that we necessarily have a "mid life crisis", I would say it is more like one per decade.

Looking at my kids remind me how much I've changed over the years. Interacting with my teenage sons now sometimes would bring back memories when I was their age. Other times I would be reminded that I've aged quite a lot in this life and I better start concentrating in how I should best prepared for the next life...
