So music is a big part of our everyday lives. People have said, "By beholding you become changed." So my question is, are you mindful to what you listen to? Has it changed your way of thinking? Do you listen to the words of the song or do you just listen to anything that catches your ear?

Hi there AndyTwin2,
At my end here, music plays a part of me. Most often time, I'd like to hear a music for me to come-up a great idea to write. Either it is short or long post, most of the time, I quickly finish the work that I am doing if my favorite melody was being played. However, as you have mentioned, the true meaning of it, well, honestly, I can't notice the true meaning of the song. Thus, most of the time, I just listen to it straight away due to its good melody.

Hey Airasheila :)
Yes i was the same why. I use to listen to whatever caught my ear, the way it sounded, the beat whatever. Music helps me get things done too. it also occupies the mind, but then i started listening to the words of the song and quickly realized, what am i REALLY listening to? what is the artist saying? You know what I mean? For example. My little cousin will listen to anything on the radio and then you don't realize how bad a song is till a little girl starts sining it O_o. like Katie Perry's "Hole in the wall" song and Rihanna's "Rude bwoy" _

I agree, especially music tha has deep meaning like Bob Marley songs. its just so deep meaningful and peaceful. And then you have songs that are fun like michael Jackson. I more like the older stuff. The stuff of today is just filled with alot of nonsense, though some songs are super catchy. They just don't have any deep meaning. You know what I mean. Kind of like the cartoons today verse the cartoons of the past. Now thats a whole other subject lol
