Lets say without your knowledge, Your son or Daughter auditioned for Mars one, Its a project to send 6 people to a very risky mission to Mars. Your son/daughter is chosen to be one of the 6 to be sent to that planet and stay there for good. That mission is very dangerous and we know that if it fails, it can cause them their lives. If your child as for your permission to train for 10 years and join this dangerous expedition, will you let them? Lets say this is their life long dream?Lets say they were extremely persistent and don't care how dangerous this mission will be.

Well I got no kids so I don't care HAHA
But if I did I think I would feel very upset because I would never see them again and the risk at this time is too great I'd fear for their safety constantly.

You will just be upset? you wont try to stop him/her?
If your child ask you to go with him/her to Mars, would go?

Anyway according to some scientist, babies who will be born in Mars, will be taller than average humans. 7 feet will be a regular height, Also humans who will grow up n mars might not be able to stand the earth's gravity. so If you will have Martian grand children, They will have a lot of risk if they want to visit you.

Yes I do remember you bringing up this discussion before saying you were going to apply. Good luck if that is your dream and I hope that mission does succeed!
Well I don't know I would probably be more than upset I just can't seem to imagine it becaue I don't have children. I personally wouldn't go there is just too much to see and do right here on Earth

Well I guess if my son would really want to go there then I guess I will have to allow him to be there if he thinks he would find happiness in this one way trip to a new planet. Why would I stop them if they will be happy where they wanted to be.

Hi!
I've heard about this in the news. Honestly, space exploration sounds exciting for me, but to live there? I wouldn't let my son or daughter if I have one. I just don't think that man has the ability and technology to live in space yet. Maybe, if they have succeeded in building something there and if people are already living there, I will let my children do so, too. But to be the pioneers? I don't think so.
