This may come out as a shock for those people who know I don't like facebook and encourage a lot of members here to just forget wasting their time on that site. I am aware that facebook has its uses. This time, I want to make use of it and not let it waste my time. I'll use it to establish connections, find a job and communicate and socialize a bit more, to get involved out there rather than be a recluse. I won't feel envious to those people there who are better off than me. I'll strive to have something to be proud of and I will work my @ss of to achieve my dreams and not letting my jealousy and pride get in my way. So now... how do I become active on facebook? Something that doesn't make me seem like an attention wh*re.

You don't have to force your self to the things that you don't like and can't make you happy. As for me, i go online on with facebook for just about 5 minutes, just to check the messages, then i log out, i usually log in once a week or which. Facebook is not a necessity of mine, so i don't to spend more time on it.

Thank you for responding. Same here. I log on there, then log out after checking the messages and a few of the notifications. I don't involve myself further. but I believe I can benefit more if I involve myself with people there. It's a good way to find opportunities and people who will be able to help me.

I couldve send you a FB request so that we should connect different ways, but my fb is for completing tasks etc and that I don't have real friend, so I never asked either. Now you don't like facebook either, so to be or not to be is the question.

It's alright yugo, thank you though I think I should learn to face those things even I can't tolerate. I need to learn this skill. Sort of like training myself to face people I don't like and learning to understand them. This way I might gain new friends and connections. I have a feeling it will help me in the long run.

Hi! It is good that you want to be more active on FB. I log in to FB occasionally, specially when I receive a notification about some activity. I am not very sure how one could connect with more people so as to get more job opprtunities. As 'jenny' has suggested that you could join some groups, which may help you build up your career. All the best.

haha, I just remembered that it has been almost a month since I logged on to facebook. I logged in there yesterday to catch up with a few things. I won't let it waste my time. I'll maximize my time on facebook. I was wondering if any one here can tell me how to do that.
