Me, my boyfriend,my friend and my mother went to the department store to look for a gift for the upcoming wedding of my close friend. We went around to look for a nice gift and fortunately we were be able to pick and select some gifts from the appliance area. One of the salesmen told us that if that item would be for gift then they are offering a free wrapping services. The wrapper will just be charge and not the service.
We were very happy with the idea because we do not have time already for the wrapping of that gifts but it took more than an hour before the wrapping gets finish and so we were very starving already that time. My friend got irate with the slowness of the salesman and so he was murmuring "so slow" and one of the saleslady heard it and told immediately to the salesman who was wrapping the gift. After the wrapping was done. The salesman confronted my friend what he is saying behind his back. And the trouble began. I don't know what to do that time I just watched them as I was so weak already that moment because of starvation. lol. My friend and the salesman just did a scene in the department store. They were fighting and did not toned down their voice. So I just told my friend to leave the store. By the way my friend and the salesman are both a transgender.

They are both burned with emotion…But I feel the salesman is too exaggerating, if your friend just say, so slow, it’s not worth fighting over. Maybe your friend did say anything more…you said that the salesman and your friend are transgender, maybe your friend say something about transgender status which make him feels angry. Anyway, even though so, he didn’t need to make scene about it at all. The salesman should be patient and didn’t take what your friend said to heart.

How many gifts were there to wrap that took him an hour to get it done? Gees! Was he wrapping a Trailer truck that took him so much of your time? You should have filed a complaint against that salesman.

Most department stores that offer gift wrapping services have a special area for that. You make your purchases and take them to a gift wrapper to be completed. If the store you were at relied on the salesman to do the wrapping, instead of hiring a capable person to do it, that seems silly. I'm sure he wasn't a very efficient wrapper -- and that was demonstrated by the amount of time it took him to wrap your gifts. If you were dissatisfied with the service, it would have been fine to speak to the salesman directly and remind him that you had other places to go and could he please get your gifts finished. I'm sure no one was going to die of "starvation" after an hour though and I don't understand your last line... why does it matter at all if the people involved are transgendered?

no wonder they both argue that much, anyway customer is always right no matter what that should be the number rule of the salesman to keep the satisfaction of the customer I felt bad for your friend since the salesman should give way if the customer said that he should have apologize for being slow

When people are hungry, they get pretty irritated. However, I'm surprised that the salesman made a scene with your friend in the department store. A general rule in every store is that you have to be patient with your customers especially when they're giving feedbacks. Maybe he had enough of his job as a salesman already?
