I have to clean the office at work, but when i do it takes so long because my boss has so much stuff. He brings in so much stuff from different jobs and foreclosure houses that we will start work on. We have now optained a shopping cart in here and no where for it to go so it seems to move around in here alot. This morning i was cleaning out my book case and got rid of two small boxes as iput the stuff from those boxes into a bigger box with other stuff and so on. I like to codemn and make it look organized and neat. Im not a person to keep things around and make it look like a hoaders area. So i try my best to clean up in here but its not the easiest at all. Do you have to clean your office or work place?

I'm retired now but when I was working I would clean my office at least once a week. On Friday afternoons when it got slow I would reorganize the office and throw away papers I no longer needed. File papers that hadn't gotten filed all week. I would do this so come Monday morning I wouldn't be walking into a messy office. I'm a clean freak and love to have everything in order at all times.

Well i throw away stuff everyday, i actually just walked outside and put stuff in a trash can so it wasnt sitting around. I cant stuff just sitting around it makes me nervous i feel like. I dont like looking the back of the office because thats were my boss sits and its a disasterous mess and im not kidding at all. It would make me so un organized and bent out of shape if that is were i would have to sit and do something. Im pretty organized where i sit but i have a table in front of me that keeps getting stuff thrown on it and it bugs me because none of the guys or customers can come and fill out paperwork which isnt right at all.

Our shop is the same way. There's a lot of parts coming and going in the shop and even in the office. There's a lot of crates and boxes everywhere. We re-use a lot of them that's why they're just everywhere. I prefer things to be orderly, so I regularly clean up around the office. I just try and put these boxes out of the way, or neatly stored in a shelf at the back.

You are a very industrious person and it's a very good attitude, like you i clean also the area where i work, though there is a person assign, but he is not that responsible with his work, i have an attitude that i only remind once, it is annoying for me to remind the person about his task again and again, i feel stupid for my self when i do that, so i make a decision, i will not wait for him to clean the area, because if wait for him to do his task it will take a long time to be clean the place will only become more messy. So i do his task by myself.

Yes, I agree with you that all the things look organized and neat really very important in office, everything is in order is good for our feeling when we start the work of every day. And also for sometimes it would be good to do the things, such as can save our time.

it is not a requirement of me to clean my work place, but I find it as part of the job since I am the one using the space.

What you have done is good. I do not clean my place of work in office, because there are office boy who clean the room everyday. I just keep the cleanliness.

At my last job, no, not really. It wasn't part of the job, although, like with most jobs, I had to keep my area tidy. However, when I did kennel work, pretty much all I did was clean. That and take care of the animals, of course. Happy mylotting!

Working in a crowded surroundings is nasty so I always want everything to be in order before starting to work. If filing of office documents is in order make our mind stable and more work to accomplish.

I don't have an "office", but I do have to clean up thoroughly my work space when done. I work in the food industry. I make salads and sandwiches. I am using a meat slicer, a scale, and tools, plus my counter space, and refrigerated cabinets. When I am done, I have to go through a thorough cleaning process in a 3-part sink. Parts of the slicer come apart for washing along with my tools in hot soapy water and a hot rinse, then soaked in a sanitize solution and air-dried. I then take a clean rag soaked with the sanitizing solution and clean the rest of the slicer and counter spaces used. I have to wash down my refrigerated cabinets every week as well. I have to put everything away when dry, empty the sinks, sweep the floor, and take my trash out before I leave.
