Some of you may have seen my post about everything going on. After stressing for a few days and wondering what I am going to do…I have decided to take it one step at a time. I’m going to focus on getting my cavities filled because my tooth has been hurting and I know it is just getting worse. The longer I leave the cavity unfilled the worse it will get. Plus the longer I leave it, the more money it will cost to get it fixed. So I have decided to focus on that first and save up for that. It may not be easy but I know I will be able to do it. I also know it won’t happen overnight but I have to start somewhere. Someone owes me money and I talked to them, they are going to start paying me back and I will use that towards the dentist bill. It won’t cover the entire bill but it will be a lot easier to pay for the bill when I will have the majority of it covered by the money that they owe me. My plan is to wear my backup glasses instead of contacts to save money. I will do my eye exam later, after I am finished paying the dentist bill and get my cavities filled. This way I don’t have to worry about the cost of the eye doctor’s exam either. I prefer to wear contacts but glasses will have to do for now. I can use the money that I would have spent on the eye doctors and contacts and spend that on the dentist bill. The second thing I will do is not pay my cell phone. Yes it is very convenient to have a cell phone but it is not a necessity. So I will just have to do without a cell phone until I am in a much better financial position. I can use the home phone, and email for any conversations that I need to have with people. I just have to remember to update important accounts with the home number instead of my cell. I received an email today confirming that I can take more classes and that I don’t have to pay on the loans as soon as I thought I did. So this is some very good news. This will give me longer to save for a car, and get into a better financial position. It will also help to pay for classes and possibly be able to finish my degree now. I’m so happy to hear this especially after receiving bad news for months at a time. I will still struggle some but I will manage. I might not have income for a while but I will just work harder at earning money online for the next couple of months or so. I’m hoping I can find a job at home, or find a way to make some type of income at least until I am able to get a car so I can go to work. I know this doesn’t solve all my problems right now, but it is a good start. I already wrote down a list of things I need to do and save up for. It will be work, but it will be worth it.

So happy to hear that you dug down to find some strength. I'm sorry you're going to have to make sacrifices, but sadly there will be a lot more of them later. But this shows that you have a great maturity. Glad to hear it. I will keep you in my prayers. Also, I can understand about the glasses though, I wear them and despise them! But keep on keeping on!

Yeah I don’t like glasses either. Luckily I was able to pick out a pair that I at least somewhat like and don’t mind wearing. I will miss contacts but I don’t know what else to do right now. I would just go get a job but as I have said that is not really easy right now because I don’t have a vehicle. Even if I had a vehicle I could have trouble finding a job, I know people who are still looking for work and they have education and experience. I will wear glasses until I can afford the contacts exam and then I will go take the eye exam and refill my prescription for the contacts.

That sounds like a good plan. Beings your tooth is hurting so bad it is wise to get it taken care of soon. A;ready having a pair of glasses helps a bunch. I love the great news you received on your schooling. I am so happy for you. Things will all work out for you. Just don't stress (I know that is easier said than done at times) and take it easy.

Thank you! Yeah it is not easy to stress at times but I do the best. I find ways to cope with stress and find ways to relax and unwind. I will be Okay. Yes the news about my schooling is great news and I feel very relieved to hear that. I am slowly realizing that everything will be Okay and that everything will turn out for the best. I was very emotional for a few days and I had a few days that were really bad but I’m alright. Nothing happened, just emotional.

That is good to hear. I still get stressed out at times at my age. It happens to all of us. Just keep going forward and putting things in the order they need to be done. You WILL make it. I am sending you a IM.

Sounds like a good plan! It's quite apparent you've been thinking this through for a while and found a solution to all of this plus getting the good news! Good for you!! As the saying goes, if it's worth having, it's worth working hard for. Keep up the good work and you'll achieve your goal and reep the rewards! Yes it will be worth it!

Thanks I know it will be worth it. It just gets hard, it seems like the price is going up on everything while it is hard to survive nowadays. It’s becoming harder and harder to get a job, and get anywhere in life. I know it won’t be easy but will be worth it. I don’t mind working, and I don’t mind hard work but I’m tired of being paid low and having low income jobs. I have never made anything more than minimum wage for long hours at jobs that I despise. I wish my luck would change around sooner or later but I will just keep praying and working hard, this can’t last forever!

I really do hope that things will get better for you soon. I can relate to having a whole bunch of bad things happening all at once. I hope you will be able to graduate soon and get your degree. Keep working on things a little bit at a time.

Thank you, I will. Yeah having a bunch of bad things or bad news all at once is enough to make you depressed. All you can do is hope for the best, find solutions, and do what you can. The bad thing is sometimes there is only so much you can do, but you have to stop thinking negatively and start thinking positively at the same time.

Over here we could resort to go to the government dentist clinic for tooth problem and it is either free or just pay a minimal fee of RM1. However, I did went there while I was a kid and it is free but no longer now as it is always a long queue. I wonder you have such facility in your US . I am glad that you are able to identify areas to save cost and how to tackle your problems . I hope you get to finish your degree soonest so that you could find a proper career

I know it is hard to pay for things especially if you are on a strict budget, but making a list of priorities is a big help. I am not sure if you have looked into this, but do you have health insurance through the school or could the school help you find a dentist that will not charge as much? How about calling the dentist and seeing if you pay at least half for the work can you make a payment arrangement for the rest that is owed. I know that some doctors and dentists will do this if you ask. Are your eyes bothering you? If they are you might want to get that done as well.
