Many times the money we get or the money we earn so hard just get spent without knowing exactly what we have spent it for and end of the month we just think back and wonder where did all my money go to.
So, what do you think is the best way to save money ?
For me, I would keep a side the amount of money I want to save first and then the remaining money to be use for that particular month's expenses. This way I can be sure that every month there is some money kept aside for rainy days.
How about you ? So, what do you think is the best way to save money ?

I totally agreed with you. I never know where My money go and I always ask myself, wow, where is my money? My best way is to be lazy, when I feel tried. I do not want to go outside to buy delicious food or ice cream. I am not always buying online. That's a real good way to save money. lol

Buying online can save you money with these great deals, auctions, cash back and coupon websites. I think saving money can be fun if you really have that zeal for it.

What you are doing is good. Saving money is hard especially if you only have a small income and you have a lot of bills to pay.. But you only need to spend when you really need to spend and discipline yourself to avoid buying unnecessary stuff. Put money in the bank too if there's extra.

Saving money is hard. But think about it when you save money you are paying yourself and reinvesting in yourself. In the long run you will be able to take a vacation or some time off work because you saved and not have to worry about the bills when you come back afterwards.

Besides setting aside some money to go into savings, one needs to watch their spending. Many spend on things they don't need or don't bother to spend carefully on the things they do need. Some ways are to buy when things are on sale and stock if possible and use coupons. Don't buy on whim. Don't eat out except on very special occasions. Some really good and healthy meals can be made at home that are not that expensive. Take some time and learn a little about investing and carefully invest what you have saved.

Yes, I do agree we need to watch what we are spending money on. That were I save a lot of money myself. I realize there was things I just did not need and began to live without them. My favorite store these days are the Dollar Tree stores where everything is $1.00. I save a lot of money and I bought brand name products. Start investing is also a good idea. But be careful. Invest in things that are going to appreciate over time. Like diamonds.

This is also my problem.
I always try to save but somewhere in the middle of the month I just get the cash that i save just the same and spend it
before saving though, i try to pay all my city services and others
but it seems my earning is not enough for everything
How I wish I could really save money

When saving money this way you really defeat the purpose of savings. This behavior is what a lot of us do. The idea of saving is just that. You may want to start small the gradually save more. And one of the things I do I put change for the store that I have in my pockets and put them in a jar. Do that for a month and see how much money you can save a whole year.

First thing first, you have to know what are your fixed expenses every month. Write it down somewhere and make sure you don't miss out anything. Next, set a budget for the non-fixed expenses. From there, you can roughly guage how much you can save every month.
The simplest way is to open another bank account just for savings. The moment you receive your pay, put the savings into this account and don't touch it. From time to time, review your list again to save more by cutting down expenses or aim for a higher pay.

What you are describing is a spending plan and those are always great. You have to save money these days no matter how small you start out with. Start with a saving account where the bank transfer a certain amount every payday. Saving account are great tools.

It really comes down to the type of person you are. I can't abide by a budget as I find them too restricting and controlling. I simply just monitor my purchases and check my bank balances regularly.
Savings accounts are good for some as they represent a goal, so by making a goal and keeping to it, you will deposit money in the savings account and not waste as much.
It all depends on the type of personality you have really. I would go see a financial consultant since everyone is so unique as per to what will actually work for them.

Budgeting is just what you describe. But a spending plan is a different idea because you are planning and disciplining your self with your spending. And do not forget you can always adjust your plans. When I put money into a saving account I basically "set it and forget it". There are banks that also helps you save by simply transferring a certain amount every paycheck so you will not have to do it.

I go with a list to the supermarket and stick to it. Previously, at home, I think about what I will need. I have learned to cook cheap and healthy. Just in groceries I save a lot of money every month. In my house nothing is wasted and I don`t throw away leftovers.

I would (and do) take a set percentage of the money I make and keep it in the bank to collect interest. I like to keep a little money on hand, but not too much, for fear of various things happening. Especially in the region where I live, robberies and thefts are simply too often for one to keep too much money on hand. The money that I save is in case of a lack of a job, and in general, rainy days like you said (also for maybe a little frivolity every now and then!).

In my experience, when I save money in bank, I still cannot control to buy many things. I often withdrew from ATM. And my saving always running out. Since then, I change my style, not to save in a bank. But I took loan from bank in form of gold credit, with period at least 12 months. With such way, I was force to save money by paying the credit every month and I will take the gold at the end of period. Moreover the gold is free from inflation, and it is liquid that every time we can sell when it is badly needed.

I think the best way to save money is to start with an amount that you want to save by the end of the year. Then divide that amount by the number of weeks or months you have left in the year. And start putting that money away each paycheck according to how you get paid. Get in your mind that this is money you cannot touch at all unless for extreme emergency. When something comes up instead of taking it out of your savings see if you can work extra hours or pick up a part-time gig.

The best way to #save money is to set a certain percentage from everything that you receive and be consistent with it, and of course not to touch the account.

In this era of android phones many apps on daily budget and spending are there. You can download them and feed into these apps your daily spendings. This will greatly help you to realize at the end of the month where you have spent your money and where you have to cut short your expenditure

The best way to save money? Why don't you set a budget for your spending per day? Let's say your income is $1000 per month(Minus the compulsory bills you have to pay) $1000 divided by 30 days is more or less $33.33 per day. So you limit your spending to less than $33.33. Imagine if you only spend $20 per day then by the end of the month, you save $400. This is how I manage to save some of my money.
Or you could try writing a shopping list, that way you could only follow the list of what you suppose to buy and not spend extra. Also know how to compare prices, sometimes the same product will be sold cheaper elsewhere you'll never know if you don't check.

The washing machine uses a lot of water so we hand-wash as much as possible, and use washing machine only for blankets. Of course that is more tiring for my mother. We also use laundry water for washing the toilet too.
