I just saw on you-tube a CNN report on Jollibee. After seeing that mouth-watering Aloha which is my old time favorite, I suddenly have that craving for a bite. Everytime I come home for vacation, my day won't be complete without Jollibee Champ, palabok and hotdog. Unfortuantely, there is no Aloha and Halo-Halo here. I go to Chowking for Halo-halo. Anything you want from Jollibee?

I ate at Jollibee this afternoon and ordered Chicken Mushroom Pasta, TLC, fries and chocolate sundae. I remember that two of my friends are big fans of McDonalds but would go to Jollibee to have sundae. I have tried both and noticed that McDonalds vanilla ice cream is less sweeter than of Jollibee's.

I cannot fathom those floats. I can't them properly! Anyway. I think they combines some food items from Jollibee and Chowking. Jollibee didn't have the halo-halo item but since it's California, it might be a good sell there.

I like Halo-Halo also. Since Chowking is the sister company of Jollibee, I guess it is the same and one Halo-Halo.

Wow that is really surprising that Jollibee is featured in CNN. I guess they have done something to be noticed by this giant network news company. Well I have not been to one lately since I always see them full of people buying their product which at times makes me lazy to fall in line and buy some food with them. But I do like their food very much it has the distinct Filipino flavor that everybody loves.

It was featured on Anthony Bourdain's Parts Unknown, and his episode was about going around Koreatown in California and checking out the food from various cultures there. There happened to be a Jollibee store and and he and his companion ordered some things. I have been following Anthony Bourdain for a long time now, basically what he does around the world is to eat local food which is probably the best job in the world. It's really saying something if Anthony Boourdain says a certain dish/food tastes good. He has been to the Philippines where he love sinigang, lechon, and sisig. I was worried he wouldn't like Jollibee burgers since they are different from the American-style burgers. He liked the Amazing Aloha, and thought the Halo-halo was wonderful.

Yes I would often here my father in law complain about our burgers here because he said they are too small. And then he would compare how big their burgers in the US are. Well, I actually have no idea as I haven't been in the US. And honestly, I don't know if I could still finish my burger if they are larger than what they usually serve here. I think that they have studied that before and thought that it is the proper serving size suited for Filipinos. And of course, not to mention they definitely consider the price. I think that many would not afford to order Champ often.

You should see how the American have their burgers. Some are super large portions and you wonder how do they eat those. Bourdain also liked our lechon and like us, he cannot stop eating the crispy skin. Another Bourdain fan here.

I am a certified Jollibee Kid, and growing up Jollibee was a special occasion food. I was first in my class, lunch out at Jollibee. I won a competition, lunch at Jollibee. In my teens, I worked at two different Jollibee branches while in college and got to eat Chickenjoy every single day. These days when I think of eating out, Jollibee is on the top of my list. I also miss the Amazing Aloha which is not sold here anymore. There was also the cheesy mushroom burger. I usually order Chickenjoy because when I smell it, it's very hard to resist.

The Amazing Aloha they brought back sometime in 2008, for a few months. It's a seasonal product that may or may not be returned on the shelves. The last time I saw Ube Macapuno pie was in 2004 when I was working at Jollibee. I hope they bring those back soon.

So that the reason why I can't find and order the thing. I was kinda on a nostalgia food memory lane sometimes and I can't find it on their selection.

Hi there Fatima Obien!
I used to avoid eating in Jollibee before not because of their food but because in my six years of living in our province, it is the only fast food that we have there. But, after a few months here in Manila, I started missing Jollibee food. My favorites would be their chicken joy, which is truly crispy on the outside and juicy inside and their spaghetti which is meant for the taste buds of Filipinos. I also like their flavored fries especially their sour cream fries.

@Paper_Doll I get what you mean. That's worse than how I felt for sure. But, now, I'll take chicken joy over the competitor's chicken anytime.

Hi, I felt the same when I worked at Jollibee. I avoid eating burger, chicken joy and jolly spaghetti for sometime after I finished my contract there. I think that what usually happens when you eat the same food over and over again. In fact, I ate Jollibee food six days a week and not to mention I smell them almost everyday.

I heard of a news that Jollibee burger is a hit abroad. I also like their burger as I find it taste different from other burgers maybe because they are made to suit our taste. Personally, I like Chicken Joy and spaghetti. We usually order C3 whenever we visit their store. Also, I like their pies as well and my favorite was the ube macapuno pie but I think it is no longer available. I used to work in Jollibee when I was still in College.

I can't for the life of me understand why they stopped selling ube-macapuno, banana-langka, and choco-mallow pies. Those were great, and since I worked in two Jollibee stores I can say we sold a whole lot more of those as compared to peach mango pie.

I also do not know why since those pies you've mentioned are really good. I would really choose ube-macapuno pie over peach mango pie when I was still working there. And it really taste delicious. I still wonder why they stopped selling those.

I still remember the first time I've tried their burger steak. I was too hesitant to try that because I thought that patty isn't meant to be served with rice. But the other crew kept on telling me that it is good and I should try that as well. So one time instead of having burger and fries for my meal, I took burger steak and started loving its taste since then. And of course, this is cheaper. I think that during our time, it would only cost about P33 or more. I think the price was already doubled by now.

It looks like Jollibee had made it to the top, as CNN noticed their achievement. With regard to the products of Jollibee, I really like most is the peach mango pie. That everytime I go to that Fast Food, I always order this food. And even I already ate one inside the store, I will still buy one for me to take it out. The taste was so luscious.

Spaghetti. Hands-down. Jollibee can sell that as that item and I'll buy it even everyday. pity that they don't serve a more larger serving. Fries and sundae are also a favorite and of course, chicken joy is not to be missed.

Jollibee spaghetti is definitely a hit especially for kids. They really love it. I have tried copying their recipe but sadly, it is really hard.

I am not as addicted to fast food as before. I prefer home cooked meals like adobo, sinigang, tinola and kare kare than fast food meals. But, I still go to fast food maybe once in a month. And I only order cheese burger or palabok.

Hi Fatimaobien ;)
I love you sabado, kahit buong linggo! Got you singing, didn't I? ;)
I love love love Jollibee. It was also actually my daughter's clearest words when she was starting to speak. LOL!
Jollibee can be considered as the magnate of all Pinoy fast foods. One of the greatest business success stories, too. It was a great part of my life. All siblings joined the Kid's Club, I worked as a counter and smart counter, and my monthly reward for myself now is eating Jollibee Champ. I even met my first boyfriend in Jollibee, LOL! Unfortunately it didn't last that long but my husband and I loves to date in Jollibee. Corny as it sounds but we're definitely enjoying the food there better than fancy restaurants with tiny serving and quiet background. Too elegant for us, LOL!
But I haven't tasted Amazing Aloha, I wasn't sure of the burger and pineapple taste compatibility. But my faves are Jollihotdog, Chickenjoy and Ice cream sundae ;) Now they have floats which I love and also the Crispy Bangus! And since I'm earning much, finally I can taste the jaw-breaking mouth-watering Jollibee Champ. Oh yeah!
So that's my Jollibee stories, fun to share it with you Kababayan ;)

Stop it. You're making me hungry. I wish for a buchi and tofu right now. Their chicken is also good.

Oh I forgot Chowking, haha! Buchi is the greatest and their chicken lauriat's makes me full. I love how Chinese it is yet it captures Filipino taste. I think Jollibee Foods Corp. owns Chowking as well as Red Ribbon, Marie France and Mang Inasal (latest, I heard). Thanks for the discussion.
