Learning lyrics

This is sort of a rant I suppose and singers out there will understand my pain ha ha. It is my own fault but have a gig with my band tomorrow night and still haven't fully learned all the lyrics, I'm only short on one song but now am cramming it today. It's not ideal but needs must. The way I learn my lyrics isn't the easiest either, it's a sort of trial and error sort of way. I just keep going through them and singing them with song until they are stuck in my head. I obviously take it one verse at a time. I don't usually worry about the chorus cause generally that will stay in my head anyway. I this isn't really a very interesting discussion but was nice to take a break from learning them lyrics and rant about it :p
