I have always wondered why some people become ungrateful and hostile towards those who help them and do them a favour.
Is it because of ego or becasue they do not want to burden themselves with repaying a favour?

People always have their point of view under consideration.
Ungrateful people are so lost intheir own self-created world that they may absolutely fail to understand others' points of view.
This could be due to their ego, circumstances, their self created universe or whatever.
The bes thing, according to m is to forgive them from the core of your heart and get on...

Ego definitely plays an important role here while some people take others for granted and dont feel like they should ever be grateful.

I don't know if they are ungrateful. But sometimes they feel like they are a burden to whoever is helping them. It's hard to admit that you need help sometimes. So I don't know that they always mean to act that way.
