Balance

Our politicians in the U.S. are masters at changing up stories, sweet talking and lying to "fan" bases, dividing the nation and pointing fingers at the other guy. They push these things on to their constituents except the constituents tend to just believe the changed up stories, and get into heated debates to where some people don't even talk to their family members anymore.
We get comments from "legitimate rape" and "sissy pizza" to "57 states" and "Intercontinental Railroads" from our politicians (those are comments from both parties members) and yet we still vote them in when they don't understand the simplest things or don't want to work at them or whatever their excuse is this week.
Budgeting might as well be a foreign language and forget realizing that a balance needs to be made. Why do anything to work on fixing the country overall when you can just fire up your voters with ridiculous statements and empty promises and our social issues that don't affect more than the people making the choice?
A true fix would be a balance between capitalism and socialistic policy. Well-regulated companies and reformed social welfare. You can't have one without the other and these things aren't so black and white as they are presented by either party. However we need both. We need what many people would consider social programs and we need capitalism.
Unfortunately, ALL of our politicians would rather over-inflate the bad on any type of regulation or reform. It works well to get re-elected for them. Rather than taking what can be considered the 'bad' and then offering more balanced alternatives, they'd rather re-run their election campaigns by starting with slander, fear-mongering, insensitive ads, and much more. Between republicans and democrats I am sure there are at least some common sense minded political individuals who are constantly pushed aside by their own parties or change the moment they 'sell out' to the highest bidding lobbyist if they are in office.
When people actually read some of these bills, they can easily say 'oh well this isn't too bad' or 'I don't quite like this but it wont have any catastrophic effects' among other things. It is easy to pick out the good and bad. People do it everyday with contracts (or they should) like getting a new cellphone and saying this plan is great, they can deal with something like 10 cents a minute over their plan but an extra $45/monthly to just use the cell service would turn people away.
Our politicians don't want balance or don't understand that there can be one. You can't please 100% of people 100% of the time. You can't please everyone that voted you in all the time. Sure people will be angry but who never gets angry. Heck, I was angry just this morning when I found out my neighbor left trash out in my side of the yard and conveniently didn't answer the door and so I ended up having to clean it as to avoid a fine.
So what do you think mylotters? Do you think that our politicians will ever decide or agree on a true balance to something? I don't mean what I think they try to claim as balance when it is 60/40, 70/30, 80/20, but an actual balance? Is there something you can think of a way to balance that our politicians would prefer to do a more uneven split on things?

We have gotten so far off base that I fear there is no fixing it.
I see a very dim future for America on the horizon.

I couldn't agree more Deb. Our congress could't even pass a bill that 90 percent of The American people agree on. So how our we going to have balance with the mentality of our leaders?

I'm pleased we agree crossbones, but that 90% stat is pure lie. AND that is why I am of the opinion we will never fix the problems we face. The media LIES for the politicians and We the People rely on the media to make our political decisions.

And ALL of them have us at each others throats so to speak, so we are really screwed, lol...because the TRUTH is lost in the process.
