So, this Sunday I am going to be a vendor at the festival in our town. I will be advertising my Childcare Business. =) I have been networking with other businesses all day, I am going to be helping other companies out and handing out their business cards and flyers while I am there...It's always good to network, get your name out there and help others while I am at it!
I hope it will be a good day with lots of people!! I know it will be a lot of work since my husband will be working and I don't have anyone to help me, but hard work pays off!

Oh, that sounds like sooooo much fun! I wish I could help you..this is right up my alley. I love festivals and Rib Roasts and Carnivals and all that stuff, haha!
I hope you do well and I'm sure it will be super cool to get your name out there! Even if people don't need a babysitter, someone always knows someone else that does! Good luck and have fun!!

Yeah I think it will be fun! =) I am excited, just nervous too not having anyone with me. I wish you were here with me.
Thank you I hope it goes well too. Exactly, someone knows someone else that will need a sitter at some point.

Too bad you didn't have photo's of the kids you babysit. It would have been fun to make up a bulletin board or something like that to put up. Are you in a booth?

On my way to work I stopped at a few tables, I grabbed some goodies, like squares, and banana bread (so good). But most of the items otherwise was old, and clearly rather used and overpriced. I know festival we have in the summer, have table slike you are talking about, they sell homemade things and goodies. We are known for our honey, so I go buy fresh honey or maple syrup.

This sounds great. Helps alot of business and yourself. Getting your name out there is so important. Think you will have any weddings to do this Summer? Your childcare business seems to be doing well.

Thanks! I hope it goes well too, I really hope it doesn't rain like its supposed to!
=( Networking is definitely important for any business.
I don't know about the wedding business, my sister kind of got cold feet about it because of personal issues so I don't know if we will be doing it anymore... Bummed about that one but it gives me more time to focus on my Childcare Business anyway. =)

Thank you! Yeah there will be many things there. People selling things, businesses, henna tattoos, clowns, food, concerts, all sorts of things. =) Thanks. =)

It's a shame I didn't live closer my friend, I would always be happy to help out, give out cards etc, give me a taste of networking and getting me meeting people again, something that I find trouble in doing because of my social phobia. I wish you every success but then again, I know you don't need it, because I am sure you will do really well, enjoy the day and I hope you get some good reliable contacts.

I wish you lived closer too so you could keep me company! =) You need to get out like that wolfie. =) If you lived here I would be happy for you to join me. Thank you, I hope I do well with it. It's my first time doing something like this ever and I am nervous. I'm not great with people either because of my insecurity with my teeth. I will try to forget about them for one day though so I can be social!

That sounds like a great way to get your business out in the community. I have never thought to do that actually. I might make up some cards for the event that I will be featuring my jewelry. I make several things and will be having my things up for display in the town that I grew up in. That is also a lot of work. I have been busy making new items for the season. Also finding ways to display them to draw the most attention to set mine aside from others that might be that deciding factor that makes them decide to buy my things.

Yeah I thought so too! =) You should do it, it's a great way for others to find out about what you do. I hope you do great with the items your selling. =)

Are you handing out your information too? I used to do that when I had my own business, and create coupons with value-but to get the prize or discount, they had to meet MY requirements, like a $500 or higher party. Sometimes the hostesses would come through and earn it, but even if they didn't, they received something. It did help! Good luck getting some new business!

Actually, it's probably better that your husband won't be there. This is your business; you need to be presenting everything in this context.
Since you aren't selling a physical product from your booth, it actually shouldn't be overwhelming to run the booth on your own. When there is merchandise involved, it is better to have two people; otherwise, you run the risk of items--especially smaller ones--"growing legs."

Yeah it probably is better. I have a lot of things that I will be doing though since I am helping other businesses as well, by handing out their things. I just hope everyone will give me their business cards and not things to sell because that would be hard. Hopefully all will go smoothly.

So, I hope it all went well yesterday!
I'm sure that it could come down into a numbers-game as well. The more cards you give out there, one or two will surely come back in the form of new business for you. You never know where it could come from. You might have just started it yesterday already.
Good luck!

I'm so excited to hear that! That really will be great for your business. I'm sure that you will get phone calls soon. Yeah hard work really does pay off you will be happy you were able to do that. Did you get business cards and things like that? What curriculum do you use for your daycare? It is great to let people know about things like that as well.

i hope it's going to be a sunny day and people will come to your festival. my husband and i used to sell items during festivals and trade fairs and it's quite fun when the weather is good. you will get to know lots of people and your business will improve. hope you have lots of fun too. stay close to those booths and rides that cater to children. the parents are your potential clients and they will be there watching their kids.

I hope it will be a sunny day too because the weather said it is supposed to rain that day! =( I checked after I read this. Now I am worried not many people will show up... We will see I guess...
I hope my business will grow even bigger than what it is now! That would be awesome. =)
