We usually turn on the radio to listen while road tripping. And suddenly, Katy Perry's Friday Night was being played on the CD, so I sing along. And then I heard a humming sound to find out Zami, my daughter, was humming the song. Mind you, it was first time to hear it and she's just three years old. Ha! How amazing children can learn that easy, right? A little exposure, some practices and then they're doing it on their own. What I've observed, at the age of 2-3, children's best learning method is observation and copying. Oftentimes, when we get angry at her she copies what we say or do spanking (to us), too. We sometimes laugh at it but sometimes tell her not to do it because it's "bad". SO now we're very careful what we say or do because she can easily imitates us and practices her new learning wherever and whenever she can. I worry that other people might think that's what I teach to my child and judge me as a bad parent. Do you believe that copying is the best learning? Are you careful or conscious of your actions whenever near children?

That is the best way for kids to learn. I am not as mindful of what I say with my 2nd child. I do prefer they learn it from me and not from tv, the school bus, or whatever.

You're right Max. If we want our children to be the best we have to start showing them how to. And we're the best examples to our kids. Thanks for responding :)
