I received a letter yesterday from mailbox, which claiming that I am qualified for this so called "The National Debt Validation Services", which they got information about my credit card debt, the approximate number is closed, and I am qualified for their debt management plan which is under Federal government legitimate get - rid of debt plan, etc..... Sounds pretty nice, and I would definitely want to get rid of my credit card debt as soon as possible. I also afraid that is a scam. I just wonder if anyone heard of such plan or program granted from our Federal government?

Hi King, If I was you I would contact Consumer Affairs with the name on the letter to see if they are legit...I would not give up any information until I have checked out this business.... We have to be careful there are a lot of scammers out there....

We have something here, but you must file bankruptsy. My friend has done it, but you need to consider everything as well. She will never get a credit card for the next 10 years, no loans, no nothing. She has no credit, and basicaally has nothing to her name for the next 10 years.

Oh dear, this just has scam written all over it. I know that you probably want to believe it, most people would. Letters like this are often times put together by people who like to play with the emotions of those needing help. So many people need help with debt, so Debt Service if that's what you want to call them, are in business to try and trap you. If you need help with debt, do yourself a favor and carefully research your options before you do something you will regret later. Some of these fly by night operations can do more than not help you with your debt issues. They can steal your identity as well. I don't know about this one in particular but be careful. Check them out before you send any information.

I would check with the Better Business Bureau. If it is a scam they would know.

Hi kingparker, I smell a rat. It's so simple to do some due diligence these days and you'll know for sure that it's a scam. Remember the saying:if it seems too good to be true then it's probably too good to be true! Have a nice day.

If they charge you for this, its more likely a scam. As several organizations will help you with this for nothing.

Although it sounds ideal to be debt free, however it is always good to validate anything to do with money matters . There are many scammers out there to gather credit card informations .
