In the past there was a joke about dentist that pulled out a wrong tooth. However, it could even be available in the reality and it is just unbelievable. My colleague has a friend who lives in Canada. And lately the dentist pulled out a wrong tooth from her son. So now she sued the dentist. I just don't understand how it could happen.

Hello You Less. I thought medical care and dentistry would be of excellent quality in Canada. Although I believe it would be ever so expensive. It is shocking the dentist pulled out the wrong tooth. A dentist goes by sight and results. Good luck to that lady suing the dentist. I feel very sorry for her son. In December 2011I had a tooth pulled out. It was the right tooth that he did I am glad to say.

Ohh no. yes there are many jokes played regarding the dentist and how they pull the wrong teeth but in reality its so painful. They should know their work. I agree with your friend we should sue such doctors/dentists.

This is a disaster to the patient and I hope every dentist can be responsible and careful.

Now that is just plain downright negligence, how could he possibly pull the wrong tooth. I hate dentists, I take good care of my teeth and touch wood they are nice and healthy, although I haven't been to the dentist since 2008! It was a bad experience. I still dread the dreaded drill!

A lot of the times Dentists go by pure profit alone. They'll say that it was your own fault for having rotten teeth and that you are a tramp of the highest order. When I had 2 teeth took out, they knackered two of my perfectly healthy teeth and made more work for themselves and seriously pissed me off.

I can believe it, I know my dentist put a filling in my tooth a number of years ago, it fell out. I have a giant hole in my tooth where my hole was. He kept saying that's not where it was, there is no hole in the tooth. Needless to say I switched desntists. I know a friend who went to the same dentist and had the wrong tooth pulled.

I think it is a mal practice, of course your friend can ask a compensation of the mistake. It is fair. Yes, a doctor should be careful when treat his patients. Yes, be a doctor is hard profession, because it relate with the human life.
