Summer Get Away Quarrel : Boracay over Palawan!

I'd vote for Palawan! BEcause Boracay is so overrated now. I've been there and there are lots of bars and stalls in there it's just like walking in the city with sand on your feet. Palawan is more of nature-inclined, not so citified as Boracay. It is the total summer getaway in nature.

Hi Magz, both are must see tourist destinations in the Philippines. I have been to Boracay twice and I can say that it is a paradise. I like the fact that there are several bars and restaurants in the area. There are souvenir shops too. You won't get bored at this place as there are many fun activities to do. You can do snorkeling, parasailing, island hopping and diving to name some. However, the place tends to get crowded with local and foreign visitors/tourists especially during peak season. Hotels vary depending on your budget. There are five star and budget hotels. I stayed at Station 2 and got a room for an affordable price. I have never been to Palawan but I have been hearing positive feedbacks about it. And based on the pictures I have been seeing on magazines and travel related websites, Palawan is a paradise too. If you want an unspoiled and unexploited area then Palawan is the best place to go. There's so much to see in Palawan. One must see place in Palawan is the underground river. So weigh your options. Consider time, budget and accessibility. There are packages available on group buying websites. Most of the packages I saw were Palawan packages particularly El Nido.

either place is a good choice. no one could get wrong if one chooses palawan or boracay. it seems that the divide is marked by gender preference. the females want palawan and the males want to go to boracay. well, boracay is associated with partying and beautiful girls. i could unerstand the men wanting that. palawan is projected as pristine and natural. it is understandable that women prefer that.
