I am cleaning my father in law room twice a day to make it sure it clean and bacteria- free to avoid any kind of infection especially he just had heart bypass a month ago and some of his wounds are still fresh. Now that he's walking around the corridor I can able to sweep the floor and spray Lysol afterwards. Have a good day!

I am hoping and praying that he will recover fast because I want to rest and back to my normal life but since he needs me I think i can wait until he gets better.

Do you clean his room or does your MIL does it? I had to have that done in my house when I was in chemo. I never had any problems with infections then. I also made all visitors take off their shoes at the door and I gave them clean socks to wear inside.

Hi Bhebelen14, it's caring and considerate of you to take care of your father in law by cleaning his room. I do believe that to keep the room clean and hygienic is good for him after having heart bypass a month back Yeah, it's the good opportunity to do the room cleaning while he is having his outdoor walking. The fresh air is good for him. I had just finished cleaning and tidying my son's room. He will be back home this afternoon from his working place. I keep his room clean always so that he could have proper rest comfortably at any time when he is back to hometown. I dusting the room almost every morning. It's included in the daily routines as well Have a nice day

You're such a good daughter in law. Your FIL is so lucky to have you, as well as your husband to have such a devoted wife that cares enough for his father. I am sure that you are setting a very good example for your kids on how we should treat and give the best care to our elders.
