Weekend off

At first I thought myLot notifiers had taken the weekend off, but then I looked, and there just weren't that many new posts. So I guess some myLotters have taken the weekend off.
Meanwhile, I get the weekend off from being mom, since R and his mother are taking the kids down south for our niece's wedding. The wedding is Monday (anniversary of when she and her fiance met), so the kids have to miss one day of school.
I got invited, but just didn't see missing the day's pay, things are too tight already. I'm not that close with that niece either, though I do get along with her mom (R's sister). I also didn't really think it was appropriate to be traveling with R. Too soon, too soon.
So anyway, I'm taking them all to the airport tomorrow morning, then I get the weekend off.
What to do, what to do?
I could get some things done around the house, or I could go do something...
Oh the possibilities...

I see a hot bubble bath with some nice soothing music going in the background. Candles, maybe alittle vino. Ahh. Does sound like some nice and quiet no kids time ahead. I enjoy time to myself when the kids go over to my daughter's boyfriends place. Just the cats and me.

I have the weekend off. The next weekend is graduation at the college I have to work both days! This weekend I will be here on Mylot. If I'm not I won't make pay out this month! I will alsogo to the recycling place and go get a pizza from Pappa Murphy's. Other that just laundry and taking it easy.

The good news is,you will get paid anyway. The bad news is, it will be your last payout.

Yeah, that is if you are not one of my many friends under a blanket of snow.. We are good on the snow part, but overnight, it is downright freezing..But the boys will play in the cold and even a little rain, but I won't, I will wait until it is a little warmer..

I think that you have time on your hands to do both. Do one project for house and then have time to goof off a little. I was busy and have just come in with legs a bit swollen from heat. Busy trying to get things done as I have two young Canadian girls who are staying with me from Monday morning to Wednesday. One is the GD of a very close friend and the other is her GF from University in Canada. I am looking forward to their visit but basically will drop them off at places so they can be on their own

She wanted to get married on the anniversary of the day they met, and I guess she didn't want to wait 5 more years...
No skating. I was a total lazy bum. Perry Mason marathon...

I agree it has been quite quiet around here, more so recently, whether it's the weather or it's a busy time of the year for people. Weddings as you are know are a sore point for me right now Mum has got her sister coming over tomorrow, so I will stay in my room till she's gone. Then I am off to the gym, and catching up on my soaps in the late evening. I am sure you will find something entertaining to do!

Actually, what would be better would be to come out and be really sticky sweet. Would you like some cake, Aunt Martha? Cream and sugar, Aunt Martha? lol

We had a recital today. I sang a couple of songs, but the teacher played a trick on me. She said when I had my practice that I was going to sing this song about a Bluebird plus Cosi Amor - that is a famous Italian song that they usually have for song recitals. So what happens? She chose another song and I did not have the book along and so I had to write it out, and I am like my father, both us do not have good handwriting. Went all right, only my niece in law who said she would come, did not, and my friend did not hold the iphone correctly to record it. Then I had to go home because I had to make supper and going out tonight for Bible Study.
Oh and have to vacuum as well.

I only put the link for Cosi Amor since I really love that song. Love Italian. The other song is "When Jesus Walked on Galilee. And that is the one where I had to write it out by hand as I did not bring my book along and bad handwriting.

I wish I had the weekend off! LOL I don't have a job but it seems that I do for I'm constantly doing something! Today hubby and I went to my parents place and cut their almost 5.5 acres of grass because there's going to be an open house on Sunday. A few weeks ago I had opened some of the windows to air the place out and well.... lovely Spring and POLLEN!! Just about every surface in the house is covered in pollen so that means, I have to get up EARLY Sunday morning to clean and vacuum and then bake some cookies to make the house smell YUMMY and lay the cookies and drinks out and disappear so the realtor can do HIS job. Tomorrow I'm going to finish cleaning my house which I started yesterday.... yeah. Always something around here to do. ALWAYS!

Oh yummy yes!! But we couldn't eat too many but would you know, it wasn't raining but a drizzle and not one person showed up to the open house. The realtor said it happens sometimes to not give up so my fingers are crossed. I'm thinking maybe it's because of parents having kids in school and it's nearing the end of the school year.

That wouldn't happen here, but then the real estate market is really heating up, and there is a shortage of houses.

Nice! Enjoy your weekend off! Will be nice to get some alone time with Tony, you guys should at least have a date night or something, even if you don't go out.. just to enjoy your time together. Then spend a few hours getting some things done too.

Well you got all weekend. You could spend tomorrow getting yard stuff, hanging pictures, organizing Cary's room.. or as much of all that as you can fit in, then a date night with Tony at night.. then spend Sunday goofing off!

I am sure you will find plenty to do over the weekend. Or then, maybe it will be to quiet :)I hope I can be here more tomorrow than I have the past two days. I enjoy being here and talking with everyone. Have a great weekend. Is there a possibility that we will see you here?

I believe whatever you do, don't forget to pamper yourself - maybe go foe a body or foot massage.
I am usually a bit slow on weekends where it will be family and house time for me since I do not have to go to the office.

I would say date night with Tony as you'll have a few days off work and away from the kids as well...

LOL..... hmmm I would be sleeping in and then just working more. I would not be able to go anywhere (no gas $) and no cash to buy anything. I think it would be the perfect time to get what I wanted done! I hope you enjoy your time. Keep us posted on how much fun you have!

I had so much hope, and so much planned for the past weekend. The guys at work were coming in to do some overtime, so I thought I could also come in, and catch up with all the stuff that I'm already behind.
I also thought I could start with my garage-spring cleaning, as there's a fair bit of stuff just out of place in the garage.
But when I woke up it was raining, so I slept in a little bit more. When I woke around noon, it was still raining. So after a little bit of brunch, I sat down and caught up with some "Game of Thrones". In other words, I also took the weekend off.
I hope yours was more productive than mine!

I don't have a new post up, so I will do one now so you have something to read. My girls have a part to go to, a sleep over tonight, and my other daughter is performing in the second night of the school play.
