Bikers, please, its a humble request, Hoever big or small your ride is, please wear a helmet.
I just read in the newspaper today, A policeman driving his bike without a helmet. Wth! The protectors of the Law , disobey it and expect people to obey the laws.
Helmet is for your own safety. It feels uncomfortable, its feels hot inside, but you cant help it. SAFETY FIRST!!
Here ive got some statistics, which show Fine amount collected from Drivers without helmet..
In 2012:
Drivers without helmet Fine Collected
217427 Rs. 19081900
In 2013:(Till 28Feb)
Drivers without License: Fine Collected
32347 Rs.2671500
Motorcycles alone accounted for 31% of Road Accident fatalities in 2012.

I think wearing helmet while driving is good to protect us from accidents up to some extend. For some people they feel very uncomfortable when they wear the helmet.I think in majority of the countries police will fine if any one drive the two wheeler with out wearing helmets.

Whenever my boyfriend and I are going to the city, we have to wear helmets because we are using a motorcycle. It is important in order to protect ourselves from accidents. It is just a precautionary measure and also our law states that helmets is mandatory. We shouldn't ignore these rules because it is just for our safety.

Yes. Good! It's for one's own safety. Some people are just not bothered about it, But they are aware that it is useful. Even if an accident occurs, it's Okay if we get injured on the hands or legs, but if your head is injured, it will cause a major loss!!!
TC.. :)

Our City is really strict in terms of helmets, so it's implemented thoroughly without exemptions. Further, there are a lot of cctv's around so anyone caught violating it would be surprised the next license renewal that they have violations and penalties hehe..
I think it should be like that. Nobody's safe without a helmet ~ regardless how close you are to your destination and no matter how "careful" you are while driving. It's not just about you, you might be really "careful" but would still get into an accident because of other factors (other motorists, acts of God, etc.) So I think we should be a little more wiser and wear that helmet.
Have a great mylot experience ahead!

There are many accidents took in our place resulting from not wearing of helmet. Preventions are better than cure. So for safety , it is good to abide on this law.

Helmet is for your own safety. Many youngster and for that even middle-aged men ignore wearing helmets and people feel that people wearing helmet as old-fashioned. It's not right. No one is responsible for your safety, you have to look after yourself and you should not wait till some one tells you about it, it should come from inside.

Usually, I don't wear a helmet..but I'm very cautious, I never ride near the streets, I do this only in the park, far away from cars - and I never ride too fast so I guess it's safe.
I worry about my boyfriend though. He rides a bike everywhere and he refuses to wear a helmet:(

That's so very wrong.... Even if you ride safely, there are laws which you need to obey. You disobey the law means you disobey your country. Please make your boyfriend aware of this, and show him these figures i've mentioned... Even though you ride safely, your fellow drivers may not drive safely...
