Virtual vs Real Friends

Well in todays modern world, with regards to having friends, the situation has changed considerably. The ironical situation is that we have thousands of friends on social networking sites but hardly a handful of real or personal friends in our lives today. Today we have no time to spend with our Personal friends whom we would have otherwise been spending quality time like hanging out with them, going out for movies, sitting in the hotels with them chatting and sharing personal details with them etc. However, today we prefer chatting with our virtual friends on social networking sites almost on daily basis, instead of nurturing real friendships. What is your opinion? Which friendship brings about satisfying relationships and makes more close friends, the Virtual or the Real Friends ???????
