When my son was born,i fed him breast milk. Now, he is 1 year old. I think he need more nutrition, but the quality of my breast milk is getting more and more weaker. I want to give him some milk. It maybe make him more stronger. But he refused every time. He likes eating solid food, e.g. rice, vegetables, noodle...but not milk. what should i do?

Your son is now one year old and he seems to be eating a variety of different foods. You could try some different sorts of milks like soya, oat or goat milk. He doesn't seem to like cows milk. Don't give him lots of rice milk though. Make sure his food is rich in protein and calcium. My kids like flavored soya drink. Good luck.

Thanks for your help. Maybe I should give him more sorts of milks. People always say, when baby can drink mom's milk, he will refuse to drink other sorts of milks. My son is like that. So people say, you should stop giving mom's milk to your son. I can't do that, because my son will be cry all the time.

Hi, Welcome to mylot and am sure you'll have a nice time here. Milk is very important for him as it makes his bones stronger. Since he is one year and can have solid food he would be fine. You can try to give him veg. soups, tomato soup or the water of boiled rice/ lenthils etc. Also you may try to give him milk with additional flavors like chocolates or strawberry etc.

Thanks for you very much. I want to make more new friends here, and improve my English. I will have a try to add some flavors. That's a good idea.

i have read somewhere that the consistency of the mother's milk is dependent on the baby's age. our bodies know the needs of our babies and it accordingly provides the exact nutrients that are needed. if it is the quantity of milk that is the problem, then ask your doctor about this. it's good that he likes solid food. at age one he's on the right track. give him nutritious foods and he's going to grow strong and healthy.

It is nice that your son love to it.. as of now just give him what food he wants to satisfy his oral needs as long as you think that it is nutritious. You can consult your pediatrician on what food that is good for your son. In some theory during your son's age you should satisfy his oral needs so that he will not become smoker or a drunker when he gets old. I think you must focus in this matter too.
