It is good to know that you have a wash day at college. Back to the times when I was at college, there was no such a day. Also we did not have school uniforms in the eighties. It is a pity that I never wore school uniform. Students nowadays are required to wear school uniforms. Also in our school we have paid washing machines to help the students wash clothes.

Hi,
Wednesday is also wash day in our school, and it is a very colorful one with the ladies parading around as if it is gala day. In my time, only the ladies were required to wear the blue skirt and white blouse with the school logo on a necktie. The reason for this is to prevent them from going around in their dates all over the city, and for easier identification who is out during class hours. This is also aimed to prevent the modeling contest of the ladies who parade around with the latest fashion wear seeing what is in and what is out. We gentlemen were exempted from the dress code then, we can wear anything we want as long as it is not vulgar like sleeveless shirt and short pants. Maybe the school authorities recognized our simplicity and manner of dress in stark contrast to the ways of the ladies in school.
