Last year, I was in the annual function of college. And Many students performed short plays. In one short play it was about our gods. In that play Gods were drinking, smoking and doing many bad things. Most of the students as well as lecturers, were enjoying and laughing a lot. But, it feels me bad. I love Gods and I would never like any stupid show about gods. So, this year I just decided to skip the function. I heard later that, There was no plays about god this year, but little violence occur between some students in the last day of function and the function just got ended unexpectedly. On that day, I was busy here in mylot. What do you think ? Is it okay to have play like this about God(s), anywhere else ? Not only in school/college, also in many places people are enjoying shows on god, wherein gods are involved in all types of bad things

Hi, I also don't like the idea of making comedy drama on God. We always worship God and he is like a director of our life. We should not make fun on God by playing drama and showing God is doing many bad things.

Yes. We should respect God rather than making fun about them. Just like we never make fun of our mom and dad, even when they are not around.

Hi Deepak, I personally do not see anything wrong with it. It sounds as if it was a comedy and God has a sense of humor, right? We have had movies and plays depicting the Gods, God, Jesus in both humourous and serious shows. If, however, it bothers you or goes against your own beliefs or values then if I were you, I'd have walked out as soon as it became apparent as to what it was about. Maybe he would have let you wait in the lobby or go for a short walk and re-enter so that you could watch other plays that you may have enjoyed more. It would be worth asking about prior to the next annual function. It would be too bad to miss all of the plays over the possibility that one may be offensive to you. Maybe they could provide a listing with a brief overview of what each play is about and the times they will be shown prior to the event.

I think, it depends according to person. i never watch that types of movies or programs. It's okay, but it should be within a limit. There is no need to make gods drunk or smock. Thanks for your response.
